My eyes widened at that and I quickly looked up, almost yelling a "thankgod". Quickly realising what i said, "ahm... I was about to do a paper wrong but stopped on time anyways it's really a shame you won't be there to join me."

After those.... kinda awkward seconds i didn't pay much attention to what she blabbered after that but when she left, i quickly completed rest of my work and fumbled with my phone to call y/n in.

(Y/n's P.O.V.)

I was just feeling so gloomy for some reason today. When I was just gonna clock out, I spotted okuda skipping oddly happily through the hallway and out the building. And in Q, myphone buzzed with a phone call from karma. It was not unusual yet it gave me butterflies whenever I got his calls. Getting The message, i quickly gathered up all my things and headed to his office room.

I was constantly looking over my shoulder because for some odd reason I felt being followed and watched. Quickening my pace, getting to his office and locking the door behind me.

As I turned around, I got slammed back in the door with lips harshly pressing down on mine. It lasted for a minute or so. When we parted, I was able to see that glint of happiness, excitement and love in his eyes which made my knees buckle. Before I could say anything, he suddenly lifted me up bridal style and set me down on his desk all the while holding that smug cheeky grin on his face, but that just made me smile and giggle more.. It felt like all the gloominess, stress and my worries vanished in thin air...or him. I loved how he made me feel, and I refused to trade him or this feeling with anything.

"You look offly happy today, what's the occasion? Boss~ "

And there it was, that sexy smirk I've come to die for.

My face got extremely hot when he leaned in very very close and spoke with his lips brushing mine with each word , "you are going to be my date for the new year's party~".

My eyes widened and a wave of worry and concern washed over me. I think karma picked up on it as well and continued, "don't worry about that multi-faced thing. She is not going to be at the party, so calm down." He said, kissing my cheek.

I blushed at the soft gesture. All the remaining doubts of mine disappeared when I saw all those bundles and bundles of paper work near his desk.

He had been so busy the last few months because of so many recruits and projects, he barely had time for anything or anyone.

When I was in my own thoughts, I felt a hand on my cheek and another around me on my back. He was staring at my lips and then back to my eyes, asking permission. I loved this so much about him, he did this whenever he had ulterior motives behind his upcoming makeout and i knew them so well. I responded with a small smile and leaned in as well.

Our lips had barely touched when suddenly we heard the unlocking of the door and it swinging open. That didn't even give us the time to completely pull apart and worse....the person at the door made us freeze.

After that everything that happened next felt like a blur. What I did remember is her tearing up and shouting, pointing her finger at me and shouting maybe curses. Karma getting really angry and slapping her across the face.

I woke up on a bed with something holding me tight. It was karma, it didn't take me long to realise I was at his place. I felt weak....i wonder why....
