What happens if inkopolis had creatures of the dark that hunt them down at night, who will protect them from these creatures.

In the dead of night of inkopolis, it was peaceful and quiet almost no inkling or octoling insight. Well keyword "almost" there was one female inkling walking alone and it looked like she was on the phone with someone
F.inkling: Hey Mom I'm on my way home, do you mind heating up some food when I get back I'm starving
Mom: Yeah of course....but are you sure you should be walking alone at this time because you know...
F.inkling: Yes I know mom but I got a weapon with me so I'll be fine
Mom: Still those things are dangerous, please be careful
F.inkling: Of course mom I'll be careful
Mom: all right bye honey
F.inkling: bye mom
After the phone call, the female inkling continues her walk, but unknown to her there's something stalking her from behind. It was an all-black shadowy creature, with spiky fur, the face only has pure white eyes with sharp teeth showing and it looked like it was walking on four

This is known as a Kaze, they are creatures of the shadows that hunt and kill inklings and octolings at night. Now one is stalking its prey quietly from behind without the inkling girl noticing, but then it accidentally hit a trash can making the inkling girl turn around, before she could see it though the Kaze quickly hid in the shadows
F.inkling: hello!
no one responded
F.inkling: ...
The female inkling then started to walk faster but the Kaze decided to pre-sue its prey more aggressively, of course, the female inkling took notice of the loud thumping and then turn around quickly to see the creature stalking her. Her fast pacing changed to a full sprint running away from the creature.
While she was running from the rooftop of a building there we see another inkling but this time it was a male inkling he was wearing a black trench coat, black combat pants, combat gloves, a mask, a backpack on his back, and goggles, it looked like he had a sword scabbard around his waist.
He was sitting on the edges of the building looking like he was taking a break, but it looks like his break might need to wait another time because he saw the female inkling running.
At first, he thought she was just in a hurry back home because it was late and it was dark... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . well he was half right he of course saw the Kaze chasing her and groaned a bit, he then stood up and looked at his phone checking the time
