Coffee - Five Hargreeves

"Whoa! I wonder how far we are in the future." I say.

"Should we keep going?"

"Hell yeah!" He does it one more time. What we see terrifies us. Everything's gone. The buildings are completely destroyed and on fire. "Five...?" I look at him. He's scared. He drops my hand and begins to back away, looking around. He mutters something. "What?"

"The academy!" He repeats.

"Fuck..." he grabs my hand and we run back, only to see our home destroyed. We stand at the front door, panting.

"Vanya!! Ben!!" He yells.

"Klaus!" I yell.

"Dad!" He looks around frantically. "Anyone?!" He tries to use his powers again. They don't work. "Come on!! Shit..." He looks at me, tears threatening to fall. He looks back at our now burning home and falls to his knees. "It's gone... It's all gone..."

"Five, I'm scared..." I say, beginning to panic.

"(y/n)? Hey, heyheyheyhey! (y/n), hey! It's ok." He gets up and runs to me, holding me in his arms. "It's ok, I'm here. Hey, look at me." He says, cupping my cheek. "We're gonna be ok, alright?"

"M-Mhm." I say, nodding.

"Ok. Remember. I'm here." He says, and lightly kisses the top of my head.

After I've taken a few deep breaths and calmed down, I think of something. "Hey, Five?"

"What?"

"Maybe we should look around and see if we can find anyone. Or at least figure out what the date is."

"Good idea. You go that way, and I'll go this way. Meet back here in about, 20 minutes. Got it?"

"Yep." We go our separate ways. After about ten minutes, I see something. It looks like a body. I walk closer to it. The corpse is a male. He looks vaguely familiar. I decide to search him for any identification. I get to his wrist and see a familiar umbrella shaped tattoo. I drop his arm as soon as I see it, backing away from the body. "D-Diego...?" I bump into another body. This one is a female. "Allison?!" I back away from her body and into another male's. "Klaus?!" I scream loudly, realizing that our family is dead and we weren't there to help.

"(y/n)!! Are you ok?!" Five says, running to me. "Are you hurt?!"

"Five! They're- They're all-" I say, hyperventilating.

He looks around and gasps at the sight. He then sighs. "I wish I could say I was surprised, because I found Luther's body, too. But it's ok. We're here, right? We will get back. Eventually." He then sits beside me, holding me while I cry in his shoulder. After I calm down again, he shows me something. "I found this in Luther's hand."

"A glass eye?" I say, taking it from him. I inspect it and see a serial number on the back, as well as the company that made it. "Meritech..." I mutter.

"Yeah. That's the only thing, though. So far."

"Well, what do we do now?"

"I don't know..."

~time skip~

"... And I'll make a cup of coffee..." I continue to hum the rest of my song.

"(y/n)? Delores? I'm back!" Five announces.

"Oh, hey Five!" I say.

"Hey." He walks over to us, glasses in hand.

"What's that?"

He chuckles. "Do you remember that, uh, little mansion just outside the city limits?" He asks. "Where we-"

"Almost died?" Delores cuts in.
