Chapter 1

 "So, today's this big day, huh?" Hailey asked, walking into my room as I was changing into my uniform, "oh my god, is that your uniform?"

I looked at her, "Yeah, I picked it out. They had lots of different ones."

She laughed, "Of course, you chose it," I laughed along with her, "You look good in it though, Just make sure you don't get harassed, and maybe take Brutus with you."

"Of course, I never leave without it" I finished up getting ready by doing my make-up and outing on a few pieces of jewelry. "Alright, I'll be back at around 12, and I'll text you when I'm on my way back" I gave her a hug and headed out.

On the way to work, I blasted one of my favorite playlists, jamming out while pulling into the employee parking behind the building; I made sure to clip my keys with Brutus onto my belt loop and head in.

Once I was in, I was greeted by the boss man, Mike, "(F/N)! It's good that you're here a bit early. I can show you where you will be working and introduce you to everyone!." He motioned me to follow him with a smile.

On our way through the plex, I took the time to look around at all the bright lights, happy families, and various colorful characters adorning posters and plushies.

"So, in the Dragons Den, there are two animatronics, Demo, The DJ Dragon, and her softer counterpart Bitsy, the bunny. But you won't see Bitsy much right now cause she's out for maintenance," he informed me as we passed by the more significant attractions, such as Roxy Raceway.

We soon made it to the dragon's den, where I was greeted by very snappy Music; I think it was the song ' let's groove.' The area was dark inside, filled with many laser lights and people zooming on the racing floor. The walls were painted with a cartoonish dragon and a pink bunny, and there were various posters of the two found around.

Pulling me over to the DJ stand, He motioned for someone to come over to him. They must have signaled to him to wait for a second as he nodded his head.

Soon the song came to a close, and a very gruff but sultry sounding voice called out to the audience, "Ok everyone, I'm about to take my Break, feel free to keep jamming and having fun!"

Soon out of the DJ stand came a Very tall dark colored dragon with various markings on her scaly skin, black hair with a dark purple stripe, and bright teal ram shaped horns.

She wore a checkered race flag halter top, skin-tight racer shorts with a bright purple lightning bolt on them. She also had purple shoulder pads, blue arm sleeved, blue leg warmers, and a pair of heeled black skates with purple wheels.

She pulled down her blue triangle shades a bit as she spoke,, arent you just a pretty thing," she moved a hand out to me, I grabbed it as she shookIt's, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Demo, I see you'll be working in my area." She motioned to my clothes

"That's Right, (F/N) will be waitressing. I just wanted to introduce you to her since you'll be working in the same area." Mike grinned, and I nodded my head.

She nodded her head, "well, it's nice to meet you, but I'm not gonna waste my break." And with that, she waved a clawed hand to us, went over to a substantial purple couch, and promptly crashed onto it.

"Well, she's nice" Mike nodded and motioned me along with him over to a food area with smooth floors similar to the skating rink, and there were many tables around too, all filled with teens and young adults, there were barely any children.

"So this is where you will be working; since its a small area, you won't have many co-workers," He pulled out a couple of things from behind the counter and handed them to me, "This is your notepad and pen, and this is your serving plate, please don't lose your notepad and pen."

I nodded my head to him, "I won't, sir, I promise."

"Great, Since you have experience and your only co-worker is sick today, we are just gonna skip training," he patted my shoulder and turned to leave, "Have fun, kid, and don't forget to put on your skates."

With that, I began my work.

Time flew by pretty quickly, and the next thing I knew, it was near closing time and the end of my shift. Everyone had already pretty much left, leaving only the food workers, Demo, and me.

"Hey Newby," One of the food workers, I think her name was Jessica, called me over.

Slating over, I placed my serving tray on the counter, "What's up?"

"You want something to eat before we get cleaning?" I nodded my head, "Great, go ask that overgrown lizard if she wants some too" I bounced my head and skated over to where Demo was sleeping.

I shook her scally shoulder a bit. She opened her eyes gently, looking at me through her blue-tinted glasses, "What is it?"

I shifted in place at her tired but almost annoyed sounding voice, "Well, We were gonna fix a bite and wondered if you wanted some?" This seemed to wake her up as she began to stand, towering over me by a great deal.

"I could never pass up some good food," She laughed loudly, showing off her large fangs, "Come on then, let's get it while it's hot."

While we ate, we got to know each other a bit, Demo telling stories about her and her best friend Bitsy, she laughed a lot, also telling stories of the other animatronics.

After a while, everything was clean, and I was on my way out the door; today was a good day of work.
