ch.1 - signing up

"get out y/n! were tired of your bullshit. you never work and you never try to help us! you see were struggling here!" your mother yelled, clearly angry. i was frozen. like that was the only thing i can do in my life. i couldnt speak nor change my scared expression. "i-i-" "be quiet y/n, your so annoying. i dont even wanna deal with you right now. your done, your out of the house. have fun." she yelled, getting my stuff out of no where like she knew this were gonna happen. she pushed everything i owned in my arms and pushed me outside, shutting the door right after. i stood infront of the door dumfounded. i felt my eyes getting watery as her words echoed through my head, and slowly blacked out with someone calling my name.

i shot up from my bed, feeling tears streaming down my face. i quickly turned around after hearing a whispered and concerned "shit" and saw my brother, tony. "tony.. it- i-.. tony im scared-" i managed to choke out before he hugged me. "shh.. y/n its okay. your safe now." he whispered. i felt comforted from how soothing his voice was, it was calm and caring. i understand since hes my brother, its his duty to make his little sister feel better. i slowly pulled away from the hug "thank you tony.. im gonna stay up though, since its 7:34 am. you could go now if youd like." i told him and he gave me a nod, getting up and walking out of the door, closing it shortly after.

i smiled, how thoughtful of him. i got up and sat on the side of my bed, getting my phone and scrolling through instagram. i saw loads of people talking about this place called "mega pizzaplex" and me, being a curious person, decided to look it up. as soon as i looked it up i saw a 'now hiring' option. ive been wanting a job for a while so i clicked it, i didnt want to make the same mistake i made with my parents, i wanted to help my brother and i wanted to make him proud, so i signed up for the job, i called the phone number attached to it, and surprisingly, they awnsered in less than 10 seconds.

"hi maam or mister, my name is y/n. sorry for disturbing you but i was just wondering if i could probably get an interview scheduled for today? i saw you guys were hiring and-"

"great! you can come over to the pizzaplex now, its a pleasure to hear you want to work here. see ya!" he said, cutting me off. he hung up and my eyes widened. "right now? im not even ready yet-" i stopped my thoughts and immediately went to my closet. "which one to wear which one to- ah! this one!" it was a plain black baggy t-shirt, simple but i mean, what can i say? my whole closet is filled with baggy t shirts. i threw the shirt on my bed and ran for my drawer, pulling out some dark blue jeans, and.. so for the shoes, i got some clean, black high top vans. 'man i love these shoes' i thought to myself. "man, im gonna look good at my intervie- MY INTERVIEW" i yelled out. tony immediately came into my room. "what happened y/n?! are you okay? did anyone hurt you? i swear im-" "no, no tony. its alright and so am i. i uhh, i signed up for a job and- long story short, i need a ride to the pizzaplez. right now." i said, cutting him off.

"i- are you sure, y/n?? i heard people got murdered there and im so worried for your saftey." he exclaimed.

"ill be okay, dont sweat it tony. i swear ill be fine." i told him, he just grunted and walked out downstairs and out of his house. i followed him out, and locked the door before closing it. i walked to the car and opened the door, getting inside, and shutting it once more.

it was sbout a 15 minute drive, my brother hadnt talked to me nor took a quick look at me. as i opened the door to get out tony grabbed my wrist. "please be safe y/n, i worry about you." he said in a sad and scared tone. "i swear ill be okay. bye tony, ill call you when im ready for you to pick me up." i told him as he let go of my wrist. i shut the door and watched him drive away. i sighed and looked behind me. the place was massive. it was scary to even look in it "i took a deep breath and started walking towards it. i looked at my watch "7:58" i whispered. i looked up and saw i was right at the entrance. i saw a man in a suit outside, he looked like he was waiting for someone.
