As we started to walk home all we could hear was the laughter and happiness kids, it made me think that there was love and happiness in the world.Soon we made it to his house by the look in his eyes I could tell was worried.

"Are you gonna be ok Layfon? Haru questioned.

"I'll be fine, I can take care of myself" I said strongly, then started to take my leave.

I started to walk, when I notice the sun was started to set! I looked at my watch, it was 7:00. I ran home as fast as I could hoping I wasn't to late.

I had finally got home, but I wasn't surprised to see my mom drunk on the floor. I went over to help her off the floor, but she easily rejected me.

"I don't need your help, your a sorry excuse of a boy!" She shouted. But I was so use to it, that it didn't phase me, I just walked up the stairs.

"Get back here she screamed I'm not finished I just continued to walk up the stairs. I started to do my homework, I was almost done but it was problem that I had trouble on. So I went to my mom hoping that I would get help. So I asked her for help.

Mom can you help me with thi..... But before I could finish she said " Its not my homework now is it" then glared at me with a devilish look. Then I heard someone knock on the door, I quickly answered it. It was one of my friends Kara .

"Oh.. Hi Layfon I was wondering if you could, I..I mean we could go out to the movies or the arcade.

" I would love that but I have a lot of work to do, maybe next week." I announced. She started to blush.

"Ok then, later Layfon! She said smiling.

Right when I closed the door and turn around my mom slapped me to the floor.

"You don't deserve anything precious in this world, I deserve it!"

"You don't deserve those beautiful eyes or that blonde hair!"

"Your the reason that your dad left you hear me, you hear me!"

"I shoulda just suffocated you when you were little." She uttered to herself.

"I'm going to the club." She said in a rough way.

But I didn't process anything I was just sitting on the floor with tears running down my face.
