And December broke free of his chains and bounded over to Stardom. "Shut up, you Idiot! Do you think you're in the right? You're in the wrong! You tried to chain me to the ground because of my tribe and were probably going to do some terrible thing to me! I don't care if you guys are poor, it doesn't justify your actions! You know you're the bad guy! So why be it? You could have asked nicely for something rather than resorting to violence and torture! Violence is never the answer, and the Dragonets of Destiny taught me that!"
And Stardom broke out of his rage, and the realization hit him. What had he done? Where was his mother to tell him to stop? Was she still there?
But nobody answered him.
"Stardom, are you okay? I wouldn't take you for someone violent. What happened?" December talked to his friend in a gentle tone.
"Let's go home," Stardom said and took the icewing by his talons.
The two dragons left the Idiots behind as the shopkeeper came out to see what had happened. December and Stardom went out through the back of the alleyway and out of harm's way. They hurried up the hill and eyed the stars above.
"Are you okay?" December asked again as they made their way to wherever they imagined home was.
"We aren't safe. Ask questions later," Stardom beckoned him on.
The icewing continued to follow Stardom, and they reached the top of the small hill. "Where are we going to go? To your house?"
"No," Stardom answered and made sure the town was out of sight. "Let's stay here for now."
"Do you live in that town?" December asked and laid down on the grass.
"No, I live with my father in a large cave on the mountain that overlooks this town," Stardom pointed his talon southeast of the town to a craggy mountain.
"Thank Clearsight, I was worried about you," December stared up at the shining diamonds in the sky.
Stardom felt a chill in his spine and dared to ask the icewing a strange question. "Why aren't you running away? Why are you still here with me?"
"Because you saved my life," December whispered. "We just met, and you came back to save me, even when you were against all odds. You could have run away, but you didn't. You're on your way to becoming a Dragonet of Destiny at this rate!"
"But you said violence is never the answer," Stardom blushed.
"Not unless you meet a relentless killer like Blister," the icewing giggled.
"Come here, you!" the playful icewing grabbed him and pulled him down to the ground.
Stardom wasn't sure what he felt in the moment right now, but once again, things looked like they were going to get better.

And every night after that, they would go to the same spot to play together and discuss their books. Enlightenment thought that it was a good exercise for Stardom and even let December into his manor a couple of times. Then one day, December asked Stardom if he wanted to come to his house. And Stardom gladly accepted.
"Here we are! I can't believe we're finally doing this!" December shouted and brought his friend over to the sky blue door that guarded his home.
The icewing opened the door for Stardom and let him inside first. "After you."
When Stardom entered the house, his eyes were met with strange icewing artifacts and decorations. There were these glowing balls that lit up the home, and Stardom assumed those were moon globes from the books that he had studied. He looked around and saw potted plants and jewelry. He spotted the kitchen that housed the iron utensils and food. And he found an icewing laying on a couch.
