"Be careful, those nightwing dragonets are pretty annoying," Stardom recalled his experiences with them years ago. "I might be able to come into town later tonight if you'll still be there."

"Of course, I'll still be there! I would love to talk to you again because my parents are usually too busy to talk to me or play," December looked down and hid a blush. "Would you like to be my friend?"

"I've never had a friend my age before, so sure!" Stardom announced and felt confused.

"I never have had one either. The other icewing dragonets were nothing like me," December muttered and began to change.

"Goodbye!" Stardom said and left his new friend.

"Bye, Stardom!" the icewing waved and looked sad.

Stardom continued on his way to the manor and thought about his new friend. It's strange how just one experience can change your entire life, and he began to wonder if these fantasies and fairytales were real. For once he felt like he could smile. And, for once, things looked like they were going to get better.

And when Stardom arrived at Enlightenment's mansion, the old war teacher was waiting outside with a worried expression. "Stardom, where have you been? I thought your father caught you!"

"I would never let him stop me from reading!" Stardom winked at his teacher. "I just ran into an icewing, and I think I made my first friend."

"What are you doing here with me still? You made a friend your age, so go spend time with them, please!" the old teacher pardoned his student.

"Thank you so much, Chief!" the nightwing dragonet shouted as he ran to where the sun began to set.

The sky began to darken, and the buildings that loomed on the hill appeared more imposing. Going into town on a late night was not a good idea, and Stardom warned his friend of the nightwings here; they were common dragons who worked in the fields, and they do not take kindly to the rich. How would they handle an icewing in their small town? Even though things have cleared up between the two tribes, as Stardom read in his books, some are still hostile.

The town was quiet and candles were his eyes. Nightwings have good night vision he read in a book, but icewings don't. He searched the silent town for his new friend and tried to remember the closest supplies store. He had never needed money to buy anything, so he wasn't sure where to go. He looked in the windows of some structures and eventually found what he presumed was a shop.

The candles were still lit inside the building and materials lined its walls. Stardom walked inside and looked for his friend. He eyed the walls and saw supplies for building and tools, and then there were those cubes and... were those cards? What are these dragonets into nowadays? He found the shopkeep and asked him a question.

"Have you seen an icewing around?" Stardom asked the old nightwing.

"They just bought supplies from my shop. What's an icewing doing around here anyway? I heard the queen's allowing other tribes into our kingdom. But why?" the nightwing wondered. "But nobody can get close to her anyway. As long as she has her little toy to protect her, she'll rule us forever."

"Ok thanks," the nightwing dragonet responded and pondered if the shopkeep was talking about his dad.

Stardom left the store and wondered if it was too late to see his friend again. But they would have stayed here longer if they knew he was going to come back to see them tonight. And then a terrible thought possessed Stardom's mind.

What if the nightwings got them first.

And Stardom turned to the darkest alleyway near the shop. He ran to it, fearing for his friend's life. His eyes were met with pure disgust, and maturity overtook him. Provoking had chained the icewing to the ground with her Idiot pals. They looked aroused and ready to do something dirty.
