"I'm just glad to be home with everybody." Penelope smiled. Just as she was about to sit down next to Elena, a girl that had black hair and a piece of pink hair on the side with eyeliner and black lipstick on, sat at her seat causing both Penelope and Olivia to frown in confusion.

"Who the hell are you?" Penelope frowned.

"Wait, was she here the whole time?!" Olivia raised her brows.

"This is Carmen, my best friend. I'm doing my history project with her." Elena said.

"These all sound like things I should know. Hi Carmen." Penelope slightly smiled causing Carmen to say hi back and sigh dramatically.
"I'm Penelope. Kind of a big deal around
here. So uh, what's this history project you're working on? And then maybe later you can show me how to turn into a bat."

"Or a vampire." Olivia randomly said, Penelope smirked at her.

"Well, we just got done explaining the whole thing." Elena said.

"Oh, come on mija I missed it." Penelope said as she pouted.

"Oh wait, wait, wait, Alex, Olivia, tell Lupe that funny story that happened in chemistry class." Lydia told the teens.

"Again?"

"I know, okay. I'll tell it. So, there is the floor, and...slip. Oh, that Dylan." Lydia said as she made hand movements as her and Schneider started laughing and everyone gave them an odd look.

"Oh, that story never gets old." Schneider sighed.

"Oh man, I've been working so much, I've been missing all the scoops plus Latina twilight over here." Penelope looked over at Carmen as she just stared at Penelope.

"Oh and careful. There's a lot of garlic in the chicken." Penelope joked.

"Yeah, who knows you might die and become a ghost, which is probably your dream come true." Olivia joked causing Alex to slightly hit her on the arm and chuckle.

"Your mom and your brother's girlfriend is kind of mean. I'm obsess with them." Carmen said to Elena, as she looked at the two and they looked away awkwardly, blushing in embarrassment. It was silent for a moment until Lydia spoke up.

"Who would like a pastelitto." Lydia said and everyone agreed.

"Oh! I know. Why not we go on a family hike this Saturday like we used to?" Penelope said.

"Mom uh, Carmen and I need the whole Saturday to do our history project thing."

"Yeah and abuelita and I have tickets to wrestling." Alex said.

"I don't understand why you waste good money on that? And why are you not bringing Livi?" Penelope asked.

"it's educational...eh I don't know." Alex said but then shrugged once his mother gave him a look.

"And anyways I'm going to hang out with the girls on Saturday." Olivia said as she took a bite of the pastelitto.

"Okay, Saturday's out. How about we go on a hike Sunday morning before it gets hot?"

"You seem to have forgot. Sunday morning is for church." Lydia said.

"So, we skip church." Penelope shrugged.

"You seem to have forgot. We don't skip church." Lydia continued. Olivia was getting bored of the conversation as she grabbed Alex hands from the table and played with his fingers. She didn't realise that he was staring at her with a soft smile on his face and a tint of pink rising on his cheeks.

Olivia suddenly stopped playing with Alex's fingers when Lydia suddenly started speaking something in Spanish making everyone gasp.

"What? What'd she say?" Elena and Olivia said as everyone looked at them weirdly. Lydia and Penelope were arguing whilst everyone just stared at them. Schneider tried to do something but it didn't really work.

"Okay everybody go do your homework. Schneider go call one of your moms." Penelope said. Everyone proceeded to go to their rooms. Alex grabbed Olivia's hand and practically dragged her into the room causing her to pout that she didn't get to finish her pastelitto.

"Hey! I didn't get to finish my pastelitto." She pouted as the pre-teens entered Alex's room. Alex didn't say anything and just pat her head as if she was a child and sat on his bed and started watching YouTube.
Olivia went over and grab her bag before taking out her homework and finishing it.

"Alex, come on we have to do homework. You know Mrs Crazy old lady, aka Mrs Janice would kill us if we don't do our homework." Olivia sighed.

"I'll do it if you promise me to let me teach you how to play the video game I've been telling you about." Alex smirked causing Olivia to groan. "Come on, it's not that bad! You just kill people in the game with your gun." Alex said. Olivia sighed not knowing what to say. She always hated playing video games. She always thinks it's a waste of time and it would affect her studies and all. What a nerd she is.

"You know what, fine. But we'll do it tomorrow, now we do homework first." Olivia glared at him and he nodded before grabbing his bag and sitting on the bed beside Olivia as they started doing their homework and talked the whole night.
