Prime Minister Nishiyama Raiden sat within his office as lightning and thunder ravaged the outside. Everything was confusing. Earlier that hour, a massive storm suddenly appeared over Japan, covering the entire nation.

Prime Minister Raiden would periodically get updates from somebody who entered his office. Outside, he could hear concerning sounds outside such as "ooooh aah ooh eeh ooh tinga woola walla oola" and "ba domba ba walla boola balla ooee eeoo." These are sounds that call for concern.

As the government and media scrambled for answers and the citizens panicked, Raiden sat within his office as reality seemed to become more and more warped. "What the hell is this?" he muttered to himself.

And then, just as quickly as it had started, it ended. The sky was pitch black, and the rain ceased.

This had to be a dream. It was the only plausible answer. Storms don't just magically appear then disappear, even your father took longer to disappear. But everything around him was very, very much real.

He clasped his hands and placed them on his desk. This was just all so absurd. What next, would a skyscraper grow wings and fly away? Would a portal open up in Tokyo where mythical monsters and iron clad ancient warriors would spill out and slaughter civilians? Would I actually get an ounce of genuine, actual joy in my life? (Only for it to be ruined by a snob eating gremlin in his parents' basement that won't let people enjoy things cause oh no, what you get your happiness from is somewhat out of the ordinary which means I must ridicule you despite never having gone outside for the last 40 years. Sunlight will literally vaporize you, you ding dong.)

Panicked footsteps got closer to the office as Raiden pondered.

A man burst into his room. "Prime Minister! The storm has cleared, but we can't seem to contact anything!"

"Anything?"

"Yes, anything! We can't seem to contact anything outside of the nation, and multiple of the embassies have confirmed they can't contact their home nations. GPS doesn't seem to work; many things don't seem to work, including my marriage."

What, the hell, is this?

11:16 PM, Japan Standard Time

Admiral Latou admired the ship next to his flagship. A brigantine, she had the finest sailcloth and wood in Qua Toyne. Surely, the Lourian's couldn't beat this no matter what they threw at Qua Toyne.

Latou's fleet was on their night patrol, 7 ships cutting through the waters of Qua Toyne. While he lay in thought, a lookout called out. "Unidentified flying object approaching!"

Latou himself could see it. A pristine, white, creature speedily approaching the fleet, standing out against the night. "Ready all weapons" he yelled. Finally, the creature reached them, hovering overhead the fleet. Latou could see a red circle on its side.

Everyone was on edge. Suddenly, a loud sound was emitted from the creature.

"We're no strangers to love, you know the rules, and so d-"

"GODDAMNIT, ITS RICKROLLING US! FIRE ALL ARROWS!"

In an instant, a storm of arrows was shot out of the fleet and at the white creature. Any creature would die after that. But this one didn't.

"Wh- what?" Latou couldn't believe what he was seeing. Rick Astley continued to sing in the background as the creature just hovered there. But then, it attacked.

A loud sound was heard all over the fleet as projectiles rained down on the men. The brigantine next to Latou's flagship was littered with holes. He could see men dying on the deck, blood staining the wood. Then, an explosion ripped through the brigantine's hull. Wood, supplies, human body parts rained down on the deck of Latou's flagship. It was a massacre.

"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down-"

The creature targeted a ship in the back. As Latou's men desperately shot arrows at the hovering beast, the ship it was targeting blew up in a mighty explosion. Latou still couldn't comprehend what was happening. Men ran around the deck, yelling, panicking, cowering. He could hear the screams of his men as the creature began firing on the next ship.

"And if you ask me how I'm feeling, don't tell me you're too bli-"

Latou could see the flag of Qua Toyne engulfed in flames, one of ships entirely engulfed in flames, as the creature fired on it. They were losing so many ships, and they hadn't even managed to dent the creature. The mast of the targeted ship crashed into the waves.

"Never gonna run around and desert you, never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye-"

Latou could see the creature looking right at him. How had it come to this? He spent so long, building up his life, just to see it ruined by this creature. He had a wife and kids, he had loved ones, but he already knew it was going to come crashing down. He couldn't sob, he knew what was coming next.

Admiral Latou left this world as 30mm rounds went through his chest.

"Give you up, ooh, never gonna give, never gonna give, give you up-"

Latou's flagship disappeared beneath the waves.
