AGAINST

COURT

Everywhere was cold, no one had nothing to say. The judge have already cleared his throat to make a sentence before Ellie coughed distracting him, she was looking soaked though there was no rain or water to. The man who waited to hear the judge's conclusion looked fierce when he starred at Ellie.

"Oh my God!" Ellie thought to herself.
"Am doomed for, I just testified against Mr. Austin and ..... And ... oh my God" Ellie said to her self ones more, she never wanted to conclude untill she hears from the judge himself. Ellie really thought at the beginning that she had the winning side until now.

"There's no guilt found on him, I must say" The judge said .... obviously the man wasn't expecting to get any punishment as he smiled again this time looking at Ellie from his stand.

Ellie rushed home she didn't wait to talk to anyone in the court she just wondered how Austin got to win in the court, she didn't see that coming.

" Abby!!!" Ellie called out.
"Am right here, how was things over there?" Abby her younger sister asked.

Ellie turned, looked at the dinning she just passed and saw her sister.

"We need to pack out of here this minute, before Mr Austin Moonstarr comes back" Eliie and started rushing upstairs packing.

" Am not leaving my own home because of some nutjob, I knew it that he will win in the court, that psycho"Abby lamented.

"Abby, see I know the look he gave me at the court today, it's better we don't meet him at all"Ellie said trying to calm down.

"What ...am calling the police, we can't just testify against a neighbor who is a serial killer and there's no security,safety assure after he wins in the court" Abby poured as she brought out her cellphone.

" Are you crazy?" Ellie said not expecting an answer.

" We are talking about a killer, KILLER, and all you think of is the police, Abby wake up. Go and pack"Ellie instructed .

"You're not mum, don't act like her, you only get things messy, you can never be her"Abby said and ran out.
Poor Ellie just stood and watched her younger sister run out of the house without stopping her. Ellie felt restless and sat on the floor.

Night already, Ellie waited for her sister Knowing fully well that the nutjob is back, at home, a door close to hers. She prayed earnestly with her two hands crossed. Abby who have refused to pickup her calls didn't care calling back at all.

"Come back safely" she prayed out.
She could still recall how her parents died.

"Still fresh"she said and smiled.

"It was late at night, just like this one" she thought and smiled again but this time tears rolled down uncontrollably.

"Ah" she managed to say as she used her blouse to Clean the tears off.

Her parents died in a car accident, only she managed to survive the accident, since then Ellie believed that she was cursed. Most of her classmates during highschool were almost died, accident, murder, sickness or something else.

Ellie sat down and wondered when her time will come. The sound she got from her door made her snap out of her thoughts, she looked afraid at the Same time she wished it was Abby. She didn't no her back and front, moved backward moved forward. Finally, she decided to go check who's on the door. Reaching the door, she panicked again her the knock for the fourth time.

"Who....who..there?" She asked stammering.

"It's your neighbor" Austin replied.

"Ehmmm....ehmmm...my God" Ellie said unknowingly. Her hands were shaking badly, she couldn't talk though with open mouth. She closed her mouth with her hand and moved backwards.

"Am still outside do you mind 'cos am" Austin said.

"Just go away, am busy Austin. I have a lot to do with Abby right now" she lied.

"Alright, I would appreciate it if you tell Abby not to come sorry sneak into my house, next time won't be pleasing" Austin said making moves to go.

"Ehm wait!" Ellie called immediately she opened the door.

"Where's she?" She asked.

"Look, am not stupid, the minute I got to talk about your sister you dashed out, am not the fucking killer get that in your skull" Austin lashed out.

Ellie saw her sister at his back.

"Abby, what the heck? Get in, NOW!" She lashed out. Abby ran inside.

"Don't blame us, safety first" Ellie murmured before banging the door.
