" To hell with 'official duties' this is just slave labor. Damn that old man!" Naruto thought as he walked to the mission assignments building. He arrived at a fairly tall wooden desk, the red whisker mark on his mask lustered in the light.  

Denko: How can I help you today ANBU-san ? 

Naruto: Oh its okay Denko you can drop the formalities.

The pale skinned m ruffled Naruto's hair 

Denko: Oh its just the mini ANBU has finally grown up. I remember when you were Kakashi-san  on C-ranks. You always used to be so giddy. And now your all big and strong with an ANBU mask!

Denko started mimicking Naruto's posture.

Naruto: Alright, alright. The reason I came here was to get that document for GG. The one from the Land of Waterfalls. 

Denko: Oh yes I Have..... Here you go. 

Naruto: Thanks!

Denko: I heard that the Hidden grass and hidden waterfall are having border skirmishes again. 

Naruto: Yea, and tensions are rising on the edge of their borders. The ones are near the Land of Fire. 

Denko: I hope they figure things out. 

Naruto: Yea well anyway I'm off!

Naruto leaped through the air jumping from roof to roof until he finally body flickered into the Hokage office. 

Naruto: GG I brought the document. 

Hiruzen: Alright. Activate the seal. 

Naruto ran through a set of hand signs and placed his hand on the wall, a sealing array appeared and Hiruzen continued on to read the scroll. After a few moments of silence Hiruzen spoke. 

Hiruzen: It seems that the hidden waterfall wants to stage a meeting with me..... Naruto!

Naruto: Hai! 

Hiruzen send word to ANBU HQ. Tell them to assemble beta squad for an escort mission. I want you to gather your gear also. You will be accompanying me to the Land of Water falls. Think of this as your first mission on Sigma squad. 

Naruto: Well if Sigma squad is going then why would we need Beta squad... I mean Beta is surveillance and reconnaissance squad. While Sigma squads sole purpose is to protect the hokage.  

Hiruzen: Well you are the only one on Sigma squad. But due to the lack of wars and national threat the need for Sigma squad is low. So until I deem you qualified to join a more active squad you'll be the only member of sigma squad.

Naruto: If that's the case then just pull me out of ANBU and put me on the Hokage's guard!

Hiruzen: Oh come on Naruto-kun don't be so difficult after all what good are you if you cant protect a senile old man like me ?

Hiruzen said in a taunting tone

Naruto: You old prick! Your fully capable of taking care of your self! I'm no more than a little house maid to you! All I do is ring you tea, watch Konohamru, and do the laundry .

Hiruzen: Exactly. And that's why your so useful . 

After Naruto and Hiruzen were done having their debate on Naruto's usefulness they set out to the land of water falls. With Naruto on the vanguard, and Beta squad covering all of the flanks.

Authors Note: Yea, yea I know this chapter was short. But i had a mean sinus headache so i pushed through this entire thing. But once it blows over - hopefully by tomorrow. I'll make a longer chapter for you all. OH! Guess what, since I'm on  Christmas break you all get a chapter of either this or Naruto: New Beginnings!
