"Checkers, are you serious?"
"Yes, now get a partner and start playing." Steve told Pietro. Sure Steve did other things than just checkers, but he knew this would annoy people the most. Especially Pietro.
Everyone began to play, and eventually (thanks to Tony) they began to place bets. Not with money, but with something way more valuable. Food.
It had started out small, just a cracker, then Natasha placed three oreos on the line. Thats when things got crazy. Next thing you know poptarts are being used. Then Stark said, "Five corse dinner on me if you can beat me!"
Immediately everyone began to try to beat him, Steve even offered to let him paint his shield. Natasha offered to stop attacking him. Eventually, the twins decieded to gang up on him.
While Pietro was playing, Wanda went inside Tonys mind, trying to physc him out and figure out his next move. Pietro would make his moves quick and irritate Tony as much as he could. This game went on for 3 hours. Finally Pietro shouted, "Check mate!" and did a victory lap around the house.
"You guys do know that the wifi came back on 2 hours ago, right?" Steve said.
Steve had been the only ond not watching or playing the game for the last 3 hours. Now once a month they have a checker tournament, and every now and then Fury might come to watch.
