"Ly, masusunog na yung food." she heard Sam's voice as she felt a hug from behind.

"what?!" gulat na sabi niya sabay tingin sa iniinit niyang food only to find out that Sam turned it off already.

"jeez Sam." reklamo niya but Sam only laughed lightly.

"what were you doing ba? masyado kang busy sa phone mo." Sam asked her ng lumayo na ito sa kanya.

Nilagay niya ang phone niya sa bulsa niya and kumuha ng food nila ni Sam while the latter prepared the table.

"I was chatting Anji, she chatted sa gc natin and parang may problema siya. she's on her way here." sabi niya.

"huh? let me see." Sam said sabay hanap sa phone niya.

"your phone's inside my bag sizzy. kahapon mo pa d kinukuha yun remember?" she said.

"oh, d naman kasi important mga nagme message dun eh. well, maliban sa message ni Anji na d ko nabasa agad, where's your bag?" Sam asked her.

"you can just have my phone sizzy, jeez. here." sabi niya sabay abut ng phone niya.

Sam smiled at her sabay tingin sa group chat nila.

"why do I feel like this is about KD?" Sam asks.

"KD?" takang tanong niya.

They both settled sa table and started eating.

"what about him?" she decided to ask.

"I don't know. I feel like KD confessed or something."

"confessed? jeez. they are just best friends sizzy. impossible na magka feelings." she said and narinig niyang may sinasabi si Sam pero hindi niya maintindihan.

"huh?" she asked.

"hmm?" Sam asked back.

"were you saying something?"

"I only said na malay natin, magka feelings." Sam said.

Tumango siya.

Though, pwede ba yun? magka feelings even when it's more than clear na best friends sila?

+++++

Sam looked at her best friend and the one she used to treat as her half sister, the one person she thinks the side of her she was not able to explore. The person she used to see as her best friend.

Keyword. Used.

How she wished she did not feel confused. How whe wished she did not figure out what she felt.

She feels like she's betraying Aly.

She cannot even recall when it started, how it started.

Was it when she got too close to her? Was it when she first saw how the ever so popular and strong Alyssa Valdez broke down because of too much pressure? Was it when she first looked after the girl when she was sick? Was it when she first had her heartbreak and Alyssa was the one who made her feel better? Or was it her simple crush and admiration for her even before the girl knew she existed?

It was a dream come true living on the same room number as the girl's new roommate more than 2 years ago. She looked up to her for being so good in everything, for being strong and independent, for still being humble despite everything.
