By the time I got to the mall I had smoked two J's. I needed something to calm my nerves. I drove to the top of the parking garage and parked in the corner near the entrance. I figured parking near the theater would be better so security wouldn't be suspicious of the bag or anything. I got out the car and headed inside.

It was a typical sized crowd for a Saturday night. It was mostly hella teenagers though. I saw one couple that kinda reminded me of Gabby and I when we were teens walking into the theater. I pushed my memories aside and refocused on the reason why I was really here.

I walked into the theater and went over to the lounge where he said he would be. There was barely anybody in here and the room was dim lit. There was a big, dark nigga in the far back corner staring at me so I automatically assumed he was Jordan.

I approached the table and casually took a seat. I took a sip of whatever was in his glass and folded his hands on the table. I looked around the room to see if Gabby and the kids were also in here but I didn't see them.

"You have my money?" He asked.

"Do you have my family?" I retorted.

"You're family's fine lil nigga. Now, my money please?" He gestured towards the bag.

I put it on the table and he opened it up. He looked pleased with the amount and zipped it back up. He put the bag next to his chair and smirked.

"If I catch another one of ya niggas selling on my strip, it's war." He said before getting up.

"Whatever man. Where's my girl and kids?" I asked following him to the exit.

"Their movie should be over in a few minutes." He said before walking out the theater.

I stood in the lobby waiting to see their familiar faces. The bitch nigga could have been lying to me about where they were. I tried to go check the possible theaters they could have been in but the ticket receiver wouldn't let me through. I found myself pacing the lobby, impatiently waiting to see my family.

"Daddy!" Two voices said in unison.

I turned my head to see Bri and Manny running towards me. I squatted down to their level and pulled them into me. I was so relieved to see their faces. I kissed them both and continued to hold them.

"Wassup. How was the movie? I missed y'all." I stood up with them in my arms.

"We missed you too daddy." Brielle said wrapping her arms around my neck. I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"We saw Finding Dory." Manny said.

"Oh forreal? How was it?" I asked looking down at Gabby. She rolled her eyes and looked away from me.

I put the twins down as they started going on and on about the movie. I kept looking at Gabrielle waiting for her to say something, but I knew her stubborn ass wasn't gonna. It was getting late and it's already been a long day. I decided we should all probably get going.

I texted Mooka to have someone come pick my car up and drop it off at the house. I got the kids buckled into their car seats. I insisted on driving. I started the car and drove off the mall premises. The kids were knocked out by the time we got on the highway.

Gabrielle wasn't speaking at all and I guess I couldn't blame her either. She wouldn't even look at me. I fucked up for real and I really want to make it better but her not talking is making it difficult.

"Baby?" I said breaking the long, unbearable silence. She didn't say anything.

"Gabrielle talk to me please." I pleaded.
