After filming, I decided to walk down the streets of Tulsa. It was a warm spring day in 1982, May 15th if I remember right. The Outsiders was almost complete, and I was cast as Sodapop Curtis. I was still in my flannel. I went to a local spring and washed the grease out of my hair. Damn, I wish I hadn't used so much grease, it stung my eyes. When I patted the grease out with my sleeve, I finally left the spring and explored. I turned down an alleyway, leading me to a neighborhood. This one was not as full of life as the one I'm from, and there were several run down houses. Screaming could be heard from a couple as if insulation weren't a thing.      I decided to continue down this neighborhood, knowing I wouldn't be hurt if I treated people kindly. Filming this movie has helped me understand that everyone deserves respect, no matter what. Tom Cruise and I were supposed to be buddies in this movie, and ended up arguing on day one. I still respect him no matter what, because he's a good actor. He's just really annoying sometimes. I wasn't looking where I was going and ran into a mailbox. It really hurt, hitting my stomach and all. Tom would be laughing at me.       I must have blacked out, because I woke up to a boy with wheat gold hair poking my face.       "What happened?" I ask, looking around. I remember the mailbox incident, but not blacking out.       "Ya musta passed out. You ok?" He asked me with a genuine smile. His eyes were a dark brown, unlike my own. I get up.      "I'm fine. The name's Rob Lowe." I speak up, brushing the dust off my pants.       "Sodapop Curtis." He spoke up.      'It couldn't be' I thought. I was supposed to be Soda- I stared, eyes widened. It couldn't be real, it shouldn't be. I just nodded, shaking his hand.      "You ok? My name ain't that strange, is it?" He looked down, ashamed almost. I pat his back awkwardly.       "No, I just had an episode of deja vu.. I gotta get back to my coworkers." Soda nodded, but pointed out he had wrapped my flannel around my arm.      "The fall broke your skin. You should be ok, but you're cut up pretty bad. Not too deep, just scary." He smiled and watched me walk away, and I shook my head. I must still be blacked out and hallucinating..
