One Shot

"Khushi, Where were you? I was searching you all over." Arnav asked me in raised voice as soon as i entered the living room of RM.

"Koi kaam tha?" i asked calmly. (Was there any work?)

"What do you mean koi kaam tha, can't i look for you other than work?" he asked shocked.

"Aisa lagta to nahi hai." i said and he was shocked that i pointed out his ignorance in front of family. (It doesn't seem so)

"Aaplogo ne shaayd khana nahi khaya hoga isliye mujhe khoj rahe the. Maaf kijiyega mujhe lga aaplog aaj bhi baahar se dinner kar ke aayenge to maine khana nahi banaya." i said (You haven't had dinner yet, maybe that's why you are searching for me. Forgive me i thought you would again have you dinner outside so i didn't prepared one.)

"Khushi ye kya..." Arnav said (Khushi what..)

"Aaplog aadha ghanta wait kar lenge, mai khana bna deti hu jldi se. Haa to kya banana hai?"i asked ( Can you wait for half an hour, i'll prepare it. So what i have to prepare?)

"You don't take tensionwa, humlog kha liyat hai. Tum ye btao tm itni raat gye aa kha se rhi ho, hello hy bye bye." Mami asked. (You don't take tension, we had our dinner, you just tell us where are you coming from this late at night?)

"Jab Khana kha liya tha to fir mujhe...? Accha leave it, maine socha aaj akhiri baar aap logo ke liye khana bna deti hu. Par aaplog to bahar se..." i was stopped by Arnav's interruption.(When you had your dinner why were you...? leave it, i thought i would make dinner for the last time.)

"Aakhiri baar?"he asked. (last time?)

"Are haa... " i took a file out of my bag and gave it to Arnav. "Do me a last favour, sign this please, bina lade jhagre, please."(without fight)

"What is thi... DIVORCE!!! What the fuck Khushi? What is this?" Arnav asked shocked.

"As you can read, divorce papers. Sign this and free me."i said.

"Khusi ji, ye... what are you doing?" Anjali asked.
