I place my free hand on top of his, returning the warm smile with my own and a curt nod to say thank you

Then there was Maria and Elliot's table. Clint and his wife Laura were sat with them. Just like the last table, I seemed to interrupt their interesting conversation. Not that they seemed to mind at all though because Maria nearly hops up from her seat and grabs both my hands in hers

"That was such a lovely ceremony dear. We're so happy for you."

"Thank you Maria." I reply with a big smile

Elliot turns in his seat to face me, not standing because of his bad knees. "It almost reminds me of my own wedding."

"Oh here we go again." Clint half whispers with a chuckle to Laura

"Ours was nothing like this." Maria retaliates

She releases my hands to face Elliot and discuss their wedding from way back when. I take that chance to hop over to Laura and Clint, giving them both a side hug and thanking them for coming

I glance at the last table that sat vacantly. Three dinner sets placed out, just missing the guests. Given it was originally set incase more guests showed up, I was kind of hoping to see Grace and her wife. I know we only met for a short while and it was for me to take her part of the power stone but we ended up helping her and it would've been nice to catch up on things

"Alright everyone, it's time for the bride and grooms first dance." Peppers voice echoes through the room. When I look over, she's standing by the DJ booth holding a microphone

I smile, excusing myself from the table and heading over to Bucky who was waiting at the end of our table. As I get close, he sticks his elbow out for me to take. Looping my arm with his, we make our way to the dance floor, a smile on both our faces

Once in the center, I hold his metal hand in mine while the other wraps around his upper torso to rest on his shoulder blade. His flesh hand finding the low dip on my back as the music began

We chose a slowed down version of Please Notice by Christian Leave. It was a shorter song but the lyrics really captured our hearts. Followed up by Frank Sinatras Day by Day since that was the song Bucky played the day he proposed

Pressing flush against one another, I rest my head on Buckys shoulder. Swaying to the music as it filled the room

"Kind of surprised you agreed to this." I whisper up to him as we turn slightly

Bucky exhales a long breath, "and why's that?"

"Because everyone's watching us right now."

"Don't remind me." Buckys response makes me giggle

"We didn't have to ya know." I state, lifting my head just enough to look up at him. His icy blues locking with mine

Bucky half shrugs, "I'd do anything for you doll." He holds my gaze as he spoke, as if to silently drive home the point that he's dead serious about his statement

I slowly nod in acknowledgment before leaning up and pressing my lips to his. Feather soft at first, a simple graze melting into a passionate embrace. My silent 'I'll do anything for you too' passed between us

We finish the song, unfortunately, and part. Bucky holding my hand as the dance floor opened up to everyone

Throughout the rest of the evening, Bucky and I made our rounds with each of our friends and guests. Chatting and sharing a drink, me getting pulled away by nearly everyone for a dance or two. Maria even managed to get a dance from Bucky when a slower song started
