Right Person Wrong Time

Chapter one

New Kid

Another day of hell. School, oh how much I hate school. It's the worst thing that has ever been created in the whole world. Waking up at 7:00 in the morning just to get ready for it. I didn't know what to expect. A lot has been going on between the guys, that I don't even want to go, but a part of me also wants to see what happens... I was waiting with my friend Tisha in the MPR like everybody else, waiting to be called to go to their classes. Tisha and me were talking about the latest stuff that has happened with the guys and me.

*flashback*

"Look guy's she's right here, she's right here." I turn around to see the boy named Kamari yelling that over and over. I looked forward to see another boy named Armando pushing the guy I liked named Alex towards me. He looked like he was freaking out and trying to break free from Armando's grip. He ended up breaking free and ran straight out of the room. The boys followed him out and when I come out of the door, I see Alex sprinting towards the stairs and looking behind him to see if I was catching up with him. There ended up being a line stopping Alex and causing me to get closer. Once he saw me he pushed through the people and ran up the stairs, as the guys continued to try and catch up to him. They went inside our next class, which was ELA. I sat down with Tisha by the table next to them. All of them were whispering to each other about things, and kept glancing at me a few times while doing so. After a while Alex started to look pissed or like he didn't care. He was on his phone the whole time after they discussed. I was leaving early that day to go get my covid vaccine, so whatever it is that they want to tell me or are planning on telling me, they better do it soon before I leave.

Kamari came over to where me and My friend were sitting and sat down with us. I had asked him what they were doing but he wouldn't say. I then asked him why they were being so weird and he got up and walked over to Armando and Alex's table and said "She asked why were being so weird.." and started talking more. He then came back, and I said "Just tell me i'm leaving early" he was doing his work, I think, but when he heard he shot up his head and yelled "WHEN?!!?". I was shocked by his response,"12:30" I had replied back, he then got up and ran to their table and said "She's leaving at 12:30" He comes back and went back to doing his work. After class, I see Kamari hyping Armando up and Alex was still on his phone. I had packed up my things and I look up and see Armando saying "hey, can I get your number?" I was shocked, and didn't know what to reply with, but I don't really know this guy at all. "No." I had said Armando looking down and saying "wait why not?" "well maybe because I don't know you" I said in my head. "Cause No." I started thinking, why was Alex the one freaking out, if Armando was the one who asked for my number? I walked out the room feeling dumbfounded.

*End of flashback*

The teacher had called our class like usual, nothing too special. My friend coming in right after I did and sitting down next me. History class, oh how I hate this class. The teacher waited a bit for students to come in, after a while we began. I was texting one of my online friends on discord 30 minutes after we had begun. I soon hear a knock on the door, my head shoots up and once the door opens a boy comes in, all eyes were on him. "BRO, THERE'S A NEW STUDENT" I texted my friend, after a bit she replied  "OOO, ARE THEY CUTE?" I took a quick glance at him. "NO" I replied back. He was wearing a blue silk mask, and was tall, with black hair, dark brown eyes, and was wearing glasses, with a blue shirt and shorts. "He looks like a nerd" I had thought to myself. "He's probably gonna be a weird nerdy kid..".

Everyone was looking at him, besides me. I wasn't paying too much attention to him, I had no interest in him all what so ever. Suddenly I heard him introduce himself, but all I heard was him saying his name's Ruben. I looked up and saw him sit down one seat in front of me to my left, still everyone looking at him. I didn't get why, I mean he's an ordinary kid, like anyone else,  not too special. Yeah he's new but no need to stare. I rolled my eyes and continued to listen to the substitute teacher.

I don't exactly know what the teacher was talking about, but Ruben was answering most of the questions. I was texting my friend the whole time still not paying attention. We go to our next class, ELA nothing out of the usual. The whole day was the same as it always was, boring. I missed my old school, I didn't want to be here, I felt like I didn't belong, but there's nothing I could have done to stop it shutting down.

The next few days were the same, nothing was happening. I went to my first class and sat down where I usually sit. My friend sitting next to me on my right, we started talking about school, and how we didn't wanna be in this class when I suddenly hear a chair moving in the seat next to me. I look over to see "him" sitting right next to me while looking straight into my eyes.
