The scary truth about the universe

Chapter 1 "Pilot"

It was in the middle of the night and y/n could hear some strange noices outside the window. They looked at the dog that lied next to the bed. She was barking, and y/n sat up in bed and looked out the window. They could see a wolf, and they could hear it howling outside. They looked at the clock and decided to go back to sleep, the wolf would be gone by the morning after all. 

"- happy birthday to y/n happy birthday to you" was all y/n could hear of the birthdaysong their mother sang at the morning. "Happy birthday y/n, lets open the courtains" their mother opened the courtains and she trembled. They sat up and saw that the wolf was still outside but this time, it looked like it was saying something. It made some kind of sound that wasn't howling or barking, and it looked like it was sad. "Thank you mother" they could only focus on the wolf and didn't even notice that the mother has already gone out of the room to make breakfast. y/n saw the small present from their mother, with a card on top that said "18 years old". 

After y/n had opened the gift, eaten breakfast, they decided to get dressed properly. Finally y/n could drive to school, the present was carkeyes and they got permission to borrow the car. When they got out they could see the wolf standing at the exact same spot, but now it was sleeping. "Shoo" their mum waved with her hands to scare away the wolf, but it didnt wake up. I could see that the wolf had a wound on its paw, it looked liked it was in a fight or something. y/n let the wolf sleep and went to the car. 

When y/n came to school, they went right up to their friends. "Hey y/n" y/n's bestfriend since 1st grade, f/n, came to them and hugged them. "Hey" they just said, and didn't know what to say. "Oh i forgot Happ-" y/n stopped f/n in the sentence, "please dont, can you be quiet". y/n didn't like that everyone said happy birthday. y/n just thought about their father, he died 1 year ago and this was the first time they celebrated without him. "I'm sorry, let's go to class"
