So I guess it's a collection about relationships. Because they're important. Sometimes positive sometimes negative.
When I write poetry that's what comes out.
Twenty years ago, ten years ago, my poetry was about depression and being lonely. Self-indulgent and morbid.
So there's an improvement in theme if not in talent. At least I make some effort. And most important, that sharing it with you is an intimacy. Baring my soul and making myself vulnerable for you.
That's not intended to belittle you or grind you down. It's to take my clothes off before you and stand naked, not with intent to molest you but to expose myself in vulnerability.
