Hey, there my name is Hope, am 19, I kinda see life differently, it's about the strong and weak, the strong always wins and that's just the facts, my mum had me when she was 18, my mom's parent says my dad ruined her life, but she says am the best thing in her life, my parents separated after giving birth to me, yea my birth has done a lot of damage.
Am in college, I don't really dig maths plus all other subjects in class but there's one thing I like and it's soccer, yeah but my dad wont let me play, he hates me talking about it and yes I picked my dad side because my mum seems to always be busy, at least that's what I know, she never really had my time, I dont even know her whereabouts, dead? Alive?.
My dad took care of me, even if he didn't have a stable job, he brought me up and have me everything I wanted, one time I demanded for a car and surprisingly he got it for me, oh yeah that was yesterday, I don't know how to drive, peer pressure am i right?
Right now am on my bike, on my way to class, am running out a little late so I am literally peddling as hard as I can, oh yeah past my favourite club house, favourite coffee shop, my boyfriend's home, we not official but I know he loves me, and past the school gate, gosh he made me wear my ID card, and I think am gonna get a speeding ticket, parking my bike, hurrying to class, oh my gosh, stairs are overrated.
Finally, arriving at class, oh shit I'm 15 minutes late, so scared, am at the door of my class, should I knock, who am I kidding? Okay deep breathes.
"Hope!"
I know that voice,it's our economics teacher, Mr Anderson
"You're late"
Just as I was am about to make an excuse, scratch that, just as I am about to lie, he interrupted, ordering me to take my sit, everyone staring at me like am some kind of bad person, I could feel the atmosphere filled with frustration and emptiness, yeah I dont think anyone is paying attention to the lecture, what they are paying attention to is the clock behind him, I don't think he knows that, and so i joined them.
