Tommy stared ahead at the boat Dream had placed down for him and groaned in how it would pain his legs horribly to sit inside for any period of time at all. Regardless, he got in begrudgingly and pulled his cane in with him, chat stepped in carefully so no water got in their system, Dream sitting in front.

Dream shut down all conversation with his dead silence and only spoke when they arrived at their destination "Out" was the only word he muttered, and it was coldly, climbing out first and pulling Tommy out with his cane.

Tommy began wandering off when Dream grabbed his arm roughly "You cannot go anywhere near the SMP, do you understand?"

Tommy scoffed and shoved him off only to be grabbed by the face "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" His sharp nails dug into his skin, paying no mind to the robot pulling on his arm.

"FUCK YOU!" Tommy hit Dream, trying to get him to let go.

Big mistake.

Dream pulled the armour off of him and threw it in a hole, along with anything else he could find in Tommy's bag, then he took a knife, beautifully decorated with a dragon, it had a purple gem for an eye, and sliced across his arm quickly, giving him absolutely no reaction time "Hit me again." He light a peice of TNT in the hole, bracing himself for the explosion.

A large cut ranging nearly around his whole arm, blood rose to the surface, dripping down his arm as Tommy stared at it, adrenaline running through his veins, his breathing heavy but fast.

Dream pulled on his arm and wrapped it tight "Brat. You obey me, got it?"

Tommy clenched his jaw and nodded. The pain stared to settle in and tears welled in his eyes as he picked chat up, holding them close. They hugged Tommy.

"Good, now you stay, I have eyes everywhere, I'm always watching." Dream let go of him and turned away "If you don't obey, your punishment will be so much worse than today's. This is for you. I'm helping you."

Tommy simply nodded and watched as Dream calmly left, still in too much pain to comprehend what had just happened.

He mindlessly began collecting materials for the night, he had brought a tent with him but a home would be needed when winter came. He sat on his sleeping bag and let more tears flow down his face.

The sunset was a lovely mix of oranges and pinks and the sky blues, but Tommy hated it, how could anything be beautiful right then? When he was in so much pain.

Even the small robot next to him seemed to be sad, it frowned and asked him "Are you okay?"

"I don't know." he said back.

It wasn't fair, he wanted Tubbo and everyone else to come and laugh and tell him it wasn't real, that it was some cruel, awful, terrible joke. He kept wishing until he saw Ranboo looking around and spotting the tent.

That moment where Ranboo's face turned from lost to happy to devastated, all in a second, was shattering to the heart.

Ranboo ran to him and sat in the tent "Hey, hey, it'll be okay, it's okay." They hugged Tommy, paying no mind to the horrid burning on their neck from his tears dripping.

Tommy wiped his tears from Ranboo's neck and from his face and did his best to push them off "I'm fine."

Ranboo tilted their head "Tommy, I owe you everything, my life, even. Why'd you take the fall?" Their neck still stung badly, skin sizzling slightly.

"It wasn't your fault." Tommy buried his head in his knees "I shouldn't have dragged you into it at all."

Ranboo rubbed small circles on Tommy's back "But I still did it, you could have told them exactly what happened, but you didn't."

"Nothing good would've happened if I did." Tommy sighed.

They just sat there together, talking about everything, for almost an hour. Ranboo had to leave before complete darkness engulfed his path home.

Ranboo squeezed Tommy one last time before he waved and left for home.

Tommy layed on the rough dirt next to his chat who had fallen asleep long ago and stared to the shimmering stars, once again, angry with their beauty. He took a deep breath and just screamed, at the top of his lungs, he let it all out. It felt so amazing, all of his anger, all of his sadness, all of his everything evaporated in that moment.

Unfortunately, it couldn't get rid of the fact that the rocks on the ground had already torn a bit of his shirt or the fact that he was stuck out here for XD knows how long or the fact that his arm would hurt for several weeks.

As Tommy remember these facts, the relief of the screaming faded away and left him hollow. He sighed once more before climbing into his sleeping bag, placing chat next to him and attempting to sleep for the first night.

He tossed and turned, he tried fruitlessly to get comfortable in the sleeping bag that happened to be just a bit too small and the thin tent above his head but there was a unsettling feeling that he would never leave, that any night out there could be his last ever.

The bugs didn't help, only adding to possible ways to perish out in the wilderness. The bugs seemed to be all around, crawling on him, even if it was just his mind playing tricks on him.

Tommy wiped oncoming tears from his eyes and covered his head with his arm, pulling himself into a ball.

As he finally passed out from extreme exhaustion, a stream of tears fell once more, even if he wasn't awake to acknowledge them, it was needed. He needed to cry.

He always needed to cry but most people wouldn't wipe the tears away for him if he couldn't do it by himself.

Tommy would not sleep well, however, it would be a good sleep compared to most of the future of his exile. The paranoia and insomnia hadn't fully set in yet.

Tommy had no idea about any of it, he just hoped he would get to go back to his home soon, that's all he ever wanted. To go back home, where that was exactly, he didn't really know that anymore.
