chapter 5: good 4 her

"Lyn honey are you still sleeping?" She heard her mother knocking on her door

"You came home last night and you looked upset you didn't even have dinner, sweetie if something happened yesterday you can tell me"

She opened her eyes slowly, She felt her head punding "am fine, Mom don't worry it's nothing" she hated lying to her mom but It wasn't like she could just tell her mother she was in love with her best friends crush

"Okay but you should come down and have breakfast" she said before leaving

"Okay I'll be there in a bit"

She went to her bathroom and she hadn't realized her eyes were puffy, that's because she cried herself to sleep. She just couldn't process everything that happened, Jay liked her , She couldn't believe it , it all felt unreal. But she shouldn't have been that surprised ,the pool incident was a clear picture of his feelings for her, regardless of that , she was still stunned,  and she knew for a fact that she felt the same way. That was the reason why cried herself to sleep , she was scared, sad , happy and most of all guilty.

But she couldn't control her feelings, Jay was just someone that made her feel some type of way, he was funny, he understood her,he was kind and most of all he liked her for her, that's all she ever wanted. She finally found the guy who wasn't like the others and he was still not hers to like.

She sighed and left the bedroom

How was she supposed to face Lee , what was she supposed to tell her ,she couldn't just keep this to herself, lee was her best friend she needed to tell her the truth. Even though this was the most shameful thing to confess ,it was just about right.

How could she be so stupid , even though she said that it wasn't a date , she knew deep down, it was .

She hadn't checked her phone that day , Jay must've texted to see if she was okay. She got her phone unlocked it , they're were messages from Jay, just like she thought

J- hey are you okay
J-lynea ?
J- hey I'm sorry I freaked you out
J- text me back if you're okay

She just took deep breath and sent a I'm fine message and then switched off her phone . She was down stairs, trying to get some which her mother had made  before she left .

She ate in silence while thinking about what to do with her situation immediately she was done, she washed her dishes and went up to her room , to talk to her friend.

She was really nervous, the phone has been ringing for a while and she finally answered

L-Hey girl how are you doing?

Le- hiiii it's been a while, I miss you. But hurry this up I'm in middle of something

L- I um have something to tell you..

Le- spill

she explained, how she had gone on oblivious date with Jay , how he confessed he liked her.

Lee - what the hell dude, you went on a date with my crush, I can't believe you rn

L- that's not all, I think I also like him.

She waited for her best friend message but no message had come, she panicked, what if she never speaks to her ever again.
