Setting: Lagos, Nigeria.

This book is dedicated to my secondary school fans who inspired me to start doing this in the first place. Love you all.

Special thanks to my friends. You have really been my biggest support system. Ibeneme adetutu, my muse🥺. Ujo-ulokwe chioma, always bribing me to keep writing 😂. Ndubuisi Saraphina, special adviser❤️. Thanks to Zita and Sonia for helping me choose names for my characters. Ozurumba has been pestering me since we graduated😂❤️. Y'all are just too many to mention abeg.

Barden University doesn't really exist in Nigeria. It's just a school in my head so take note of that.

Disclaimer: I'm not a professional writer so I'm open to any corrections or opinions.

I really hope you enjoy this cause it's my first African Novel. You'll find the prologue below...

       PROLOGUE:-Omaah

"I'm sorry" my dad said. I already knew what was coming "You're gonna have to go to Barden"

"But Dad..."

"There are no buts. Your registration is already complete. Start packing your things"

I looked at my mom and she shrugged. There was really nothing she could do about it. I ran to my room to do what I'm best at.....cry. Barden University was the last place I wanted to be. My secondary School owned the place so I was gonna have to see alot of annoying faces again. Especially Nini. She was the last person I wanted to see. She Lola and I were best of friends until she started acting all crazy and suddenly detached herself from all of us. I was hurt that she moved on so quickly and got herself new friends. It made me wonder if we even meant anything to her. Seeing her reminded me of all the good times and I honestly didn't like it. She had become such a b!tch. I was so happy that I wouldn't have to see her again when we graduated secondary School. But now my father has decided to send me to secondary school part two. Barden University was were most of my mates from secondary school were going to show up and I hated it. I wanted to meet new people. Explore new places. But who's going to let me explore in a private University? Ugh! This is so annoying. I sat staring outside my window. All my tears dried up on my face. I just had to accept this cause it's my fate. There's no changing my dad's mind from a decision he has already made. It was sealed. I was going to Barden. All I had to do was atleast pray not to run into Nini.

I knelt down and prayed that Nini wasn't going to be there........

Goodbye University of Calabar , hello Barden.
