Darkness.
that was all there was to it. The lab where she had escaped from seemed so far away due to Lavender's sprinting.
Her legs were to run out of battery soon and she was going to shut down eventually. No matter, she had to get out of there and FAST. Drones followed from behind until they were shot down by a mysterious figure running beside Lavender.
"Lavender..."
"No! you mustn't! There has to be another way!"
"Go...Lavender. Don't look back."
"NO! How could I!?"
"Run to the city. Go! Dr. Seth has sent his Combat squad in search of you and me! Go now! I can't talk! I'm the only one capable of holding them off."
Lavender held the dark figure's hand as her lips and limbs trembled. The figure smiled and hugged Lavender.
"Until we meet again."
Lavender ran as fast as she could. She didn't care. She HAD to live no matter the cause. Her chest hurt and her eyes started to well up, unnoticeable to Lavender's mind.
She reached a destination that she couldn't identify. the streets bustled as people rushed to go home. The lights were blinding and the loud noises overwhelmed her. Her unkempt synthetic hair made passers-by avoid her.
she wasn't programmed to manage a situation this complicated. The honking of the many vehicles made her robotic ears shut down temporarily. She couldn't take any more of it.
Darkness Again.
Strangely enough, her solar detection went off.
*BEEP*
the Morning sunrays seeped through a pair of Beige curtains.
she was on...a bed? the side table near the bed held a lamp that was also beige which was decorated by a lampshade that was painted on with pink and red shades of paint splotches. the walls were a simple white and the closet in front of her was a light shade of aqua blue with sea creatures painted on it.
She tried recollecting the events of the night and it suddenly hit her, though it was considerably blurry or hazy.
"Haisley..."
Who was Haisley? She seemed to remember the person's name but wasn't sure of their identity.
"Until we encounter each other again..."
She did remember the person saying that they would somehow meet again.
Somehow.
Lavender slowly managed to recharge herself with the sun's light and peeked into the hallway.
silence.
"Hmm, guess the human residing in this house must've temporarily gone out.", Lavender thought to herself.
She found herself walking towards a fairly large hall that was decorated with aesthetic accessories such as pastel wind chimes and vases and photo frames with black and white pictures in them.
"must be the predecessors of the human. they look quite elderly." She said while she scanned the people in the pictures.
The 'human' came out of the attached kitchen, eating a bowl of cereal. She noticed Lavender and motioned her to sit down on the Tiny sofa.
they both sat down on the soft cushion and the 'human' pulled up a pillow that resembled an owl. the person was a relatively young lady, one could say she was in her early 20s, with golden-brown hair that was tied up in a messy bun with a silver hairband. she had a round face with big almond eyes that held emerald irises. She wore a baggy sweater with black Capri that went quite well with each other.
