Chapter 1: Just Friends..?

I didn't think I was a lesbian or anything like that . But the way their eyes just connected with mine. The way they shined like grass on a Sunny day. The way they talked and laughed. The way we all always got along. Our friend group was so connected. Emily, Ashley, and Cole. It was supposed to only be us. I always kept my love for Cole a secret. It always seemed like Cole and Ashley were in love and it made me hate myself. Everyday in school we would all talk. We all sat together at lunch. My life was perfect. They were the most perfect friends ever. Every single day even if we didn't have all our classes together we still talked all the time.
I didn't want to mess anything up. "Hey so what should we dress up as for Halloween?" Cole asked. I shrugged. "I don't know " Ashley says "Okay class, today for cougar pride we are talking about the dress code for the Halloween dance." As  the science teacher goes on and ok about the dress code cole raises their hand. "Mr.Wilson would it be ok if we go as pG 13 maids?" Cole asked "Sure cole whatever is in the dress code." Mr. W exclaims smiling. "Ok so we all go as maids then?" I ask  "Yeah sure, maybe we can go on Sunday?" Ashley included "Sure but can you take me because my mom is always busy and won't be able to." I add "sure and I'll pay" Ashley says. See? Our friend group was just so perfect. We were funny and great friends even though we've only knew each-other since august and it's October. This is about to be the best Halloween dance ever.
