The next day was the day of the dance. The dance started at 6:00pm and it was 4:30pm right now but the crew had to get there early to help set up.

The boys were downstairs, waiting for their girls. Peter was there too as he was now taking Kagami since his prior date's boyfriend had become available to take Mary.

"Are they ever gonna finish? It shouldn't take that long," Peter said.

Nino looked at him and said, "I've lived with Mari forever, so, yeah, it does take that long. Especially for a dance."

"True," Felix added.

"Alright, we're coming!" yelled Chloe as she appeared at the top of the staircase, making her dramatic entrance. Chloe was in a yellow dress that was mainly in a Chinese style but had some of her English noble-ness thrown in (courtesy of Marinette, of course).

She walked down the stairs and Luka was waiting for her. He took her hand, as everyone had been taught in etiquette class, and he complimented her before moving away from the staircase so the other girls could come.

Next came Juleka, wearing a purple Chinese styled dress. She walked downstairs and took Daniel's hand. Then they went over to Chloe and Luka.

The same happened for the next two duos: Kagami and Peter and Alya and Nino.

"Where's Marinette, Alya?" Luka asked.

"She was busy helping me most of the time so she had to finish curling her hair and putting it up. She should be down-" Alya started but heard some clacking. "Oh, well, here she comes now."

Felix's head turned toward the staircase and Marinette walked into view.

She was in a pink Chinese dress with black accents. She had curled her hair and left two pieces down with the rest in a bun and had flowers decorating her hair. Additionally, she was wearing a flower necklace and bracelet that Felix had given her when they were fourteen.

When she made it down the stairs, Felix put his hand out and Marinette took it, thanking him.

"You look lovely," Felix said.

"You do too, Kitty," Marinette replied.

"Alright, let's get going. We need to make sure everyone's setting up the extra stuff properly," Chloe commented.

"Yep, let's get going," Kagami said.

Soon enough 6:00pm came and students came filing into the ballroom, amazed but not surprised at the decorations. (Marinette always went all out.)

When Ms. Bustier's class arrived, they were all in formal attire but it was nothing compared to all the students, especially not the animal crew, who looked the most extravagant.

The class walked in and immediately they saw the animal crew. They were all in the middle of the dance floor, dancing along to the music.

"Hey, Kody! Can you change the song to a ballet when I give you the signal?" Juleka asked.

Kody, the DJ and a noble from Germany, nodded and got prepared.

"Luka, get in the middle and dance for us," Juleka said as she got back, holding a cup of water to cover for walking away.

"Okay. I was just about to," Luka replied and got in the middle of the circle the animal crew made, dancing along to the song.

Once Kody saw Juleka wink at him, he changed the music into a ballet and in the span of a second, Luka was spinning on his toes.

He's always been a surprisingly good dancer, thought Marinette. It could also be the hard training that we've done forever.

"It's the training, not the talent," Felix whispered in her ear.

"How do you know me so well?" Marinette asked.

"Years of dating you," Felix said and smirked.

The class watched from the entryway as this unfolded. Once the class escaped the trance, they noticed that Ms. Bustier had left to go talk to a teacher, that teacher being her husband but no one in the class knew that.

The class awkwardly looked at each other and all followed Kim's lead, him bringing them over to a table.

"Man, this is awkward. We don't know anyone here, and the people we do know are busy," Kim said.

"I wonder why all of them have become so close so suddenly. Just weeks ago Chloe and Marinette were at each other's tails, biting every time the other came close," Alix added.

"There's a very high chance that Chloe and Marinette knew each other in the past which could've forged their newfound friendship so quickly," Max said and everyone looked at him.

"What do you think, Adrien?" Rose asked but Adrien didn't answer. He was too busy looking at Marinette and her "fiance", as Adrien liked to say.

"Come on man, cheer up! This is a party and probably the best one we're ever going to attend. Enjoy it!" Kim said. "Now, I'm gonna go get some punch and get this party started!"
