Her aunt Lillian was going to help her uncover the truth of her mother but then she dies before she could she's killed by Michaela's professor

Roman is the love interest in the book Romans dad runs the school and the professor that kills is Romans uncle
Michaela and Roman have no idea what is happening and who these people are truly but they're about to find out
