     8:20 PM

"Charlotte the cops are outside the front door, we have nowhere else to go!"

The worried girl wearing a pink neon mask exclaims to her friend, who is quickly searching around the room for any signs of an exit. The other girl wearing a similar mask, hers glowing a bright blue, shouts back to her.

"Robyn watch the window! How many lights do you see out there?" Charlotte hurryingly asks while moving boxes out of her way.

Robyn moves away from the door and peaks out the window very slightly to not be seen. "I only see one car; doesn't sound like they have their sirens on either."

Charlotte looks down for a moment, and then over at Robyn as a sudden realization flows through her.

"Okay okay listen, cops only turn on their sirens if it's an actual emergency."

Robyn tilts her head at Charlotte, not grasping what she is trying to say.

"Annnndddd what does that mean for us?" Robyn asks, right hand down at her hips.

Charlotte turns her mask off and walks slowly towards the window, looking straight ahead at the police car sitting outside. She squints her eyes to see a little more clearly.

"There are still two people in that car..."

Charlotte grabs the bat that Robyn took with her and hands it to Robyn. Looking into her eyes through her mask.

"The motion sensors they use in these types of places are usually extremely sensitive, obviously so they stop people from stealing. But that also means a lot of the calls the police get are from stuff that makes the alarms go off for no reason, like headlights passing by."

Robyn slouches over as Charlotte explains to her, "So you're saying... the cops think we are headlights...?"

"Well, not exactly but yes. One police car outside with no siren on means they don't even think we are in here. It was all a false alarm to them which is why they are still sitting in their car."

Robyn stands up straight and looks out the window ready to see the two police officers sitting in the car.

"Hmm oh really? Then uhm...where are they at?" Robyn says sarcastically.

Charlotte runs over to the window and looks into the police car and sees the car completely empty.

"Fuck they are inside already..." Charlotte stops mid sentence and looks out the window again, peering into the passenger seat of the car.

"Wait...that wasn't another person, that was his jacket? That means there is only one cop inside." Charlotte walks towards the door quickly, quiet in her step and signaling Robyn to follow her.

Robyn follows behind not as seriously, her loud uncaring steps echo behind her. Charlotte quietly opens the door, the turning handle making zero noise as she leans against it. She looks behind her and signals Robyn to move down the hallway. Robyn holds her bat with one hand and nods. As Robyn begins skipping down the hall Charlotte grabs her by her jacket collar.

"Remember Robyn, we are not here to kill. We do not harm anyone here... got it? We are only here for this gem." Charlotte says seriously, looking into Robyn's eyes through her mask.
