A NEW START

Dear-Mother and Father

Hi it's Sean again I've been trying to find A job here in Wyoming, I think I finally found one as a 

park ranger at Yellowstone National Park, I figured I would get back into that since I was one 

back in Montana. I know that didn't go so smooth with those hikers that got lost there but I just 

can't seem to be able to hold down any other job I find.  I guess i'm not cut out for office life 

after  all. I tried to get into working for a few farmers but the attitude they gave me I just wasn't 

putting up with that right now after all that bull shit at my last ranger job. Even though they said 

I was good at it and they were sorry to fire me but I guess that's how life works. 

And as for Mary that girl I was seeing, yeah well Frankly she's a bitch. Left me in a heart beat for 

someone else but don't worry about that i'm over it, that's long over.  

But besides that everything is going fairly decent i'm renting a house at the moment but I wont 

be needing that once my job starts next Sunday. Well I got some work to do on my truck before I 

go. It's acting up again, so I guess I better get to work on that before to long. Love you mom and 

dad stay safe and Don't be worried i'm fine, I always am.

There That's that I'll get that down to the post office tomorrow. Now where are those envelopes?  Ah there they are. -I Grab the box of envelopes and took one out and put the letter in it. All good to go now I have to go break my back working on the truck. 

-I put on my boots and old worn gray cap and exit the house.  I lift the garage door and approach my old rusted truck. I open the hood and check its old parts, I grab my tools and try to fix what I can.

-Ring Ring.....Ring Ring..... Ring Ring..... Sean-Hello? this is Sean. Man-Hey so can you start work early. Sean-Um yeah sure...Uh what time? Man-Can you be here by tomorrow? Sean-Um yeah I can, I can actually be there later today if you want. Man-Sure that's fine, appreciate it. Sean-Yeah no problem be there around 9:00 pm. Man-Okay see you then, bye. 

Well shit better get packing and then stop by the post office on my way out and mail that letter. 

-I grab my duffel bag and start to pack it with clothes. I grab some other things like pillows blankets and canned food and my coat and hat and leave. I enter the garage and hope in my truck. I hope this thing starts. I turn the key to the truck and it rumbles to life. I back out of the drive way and take of down the road. I drive to the post office in town and drop of the letter. I leave and continue to the park.

I wish it was not such a long drive through the country side and back roads to Yellow stone. I think that is the worst part about this drive is that it's just so long. I just can't be on the road for long amounts of time.

I've been on the road for about four hours now, any longer and I think I might just lose my mind. There's nothing to see besides trees the sky and birds.  The land looks the same no matter where you go. Nothing but hills...hills...hills I think the whole state is just hills.                                                      Thank god there is a bit of highway between here and Yellowstone. I do hope there's a gas station though.

I found a gas station along the highway. It's seems almost deserted in a way. With only a few  cars on the highway. I pull up and get fill my car up with gas. Then walk inside the place and buy some candy bars and some monsters, I pay and leave. Back on the road I go for another hour.        Ring Ring......Ring Ring....Sean-Hey what's up sis? June-Oh not much just getting back from the hospital. Sean-Oh yeah, how was that? June-Good it was good not much was going on there today. Sean-Well that's nice some peace and quiet every now and then. June-Well Peace and quiet is nice but that's not necessarily always a good thing. 

Sean-I suppose your right. June-So what's new with you? Sean-Oh a lot actually, I got fired from my last ranger job but now i'm going to work at Yellowstone. I'm driving there right now actually they wanted me there as soon as possible. June-Oh well at least your going to yellow stone. Sean-Yeah at least, but I want a good reason for them asking me to come out here so early, and not just the excuse of we don't have enough rangers. 

Cause heaven forbid there a bit short on rangers. June-Yeah but not having enough rangers is a big deal what if they needed help finding missing people? Sean-Yeah but..I don't know all I'm saying is that there better be a missing person. June-Sean..No.....You don't want that not after last time. Sean-Your right I shouldn't wish that to happen.  June-Yeah. Sean-Well is anything else new? June-Not much. I got a new boy friend a while back, like a month or two. 

Sean-Well that's nice I hope that goes well. June-Yeah so far it is, so we'll see I guess. Sean-alright well i'm coming up on the park entrance so i'll call you later i'm just not sure when though. June-Alright talk to you later Sean. Sean-Bye June-Bye. 

Alright lets see where I need to go. -I grab my phone and check the GPS to the lodge. Just 30 minutes away up the trail. I make my way up the slippery mountain trails trying not to slip in the mud and sludge. Jesus there's no way the trials are open right now. At least I hope that the rangers are smart enough to close them. 

Ahh-come on you mother fucker, fuck fuck fuck!  Crash... Ah hell I've slid right down into the trees. I better get out and try and winch out. I get out of the car and walk around trying to move tree branches from under the truck. Well shit you've really done it this time. I don't even know if i'll be able to get it out with the winch. 

agh-fuck I don't want to call the ranger station then get a bad wrap for not being able to get up a stupid hill. Maybe if i just try and tug on it a bit-ugh-yeah that wont work. ugh fine I guess i'll call the ranger station.
