"3...2...1" I watched as the older boy uncovered his eyes. The rays of sunlight seeped through the canope of leaves and branches the trees around us created. Capturing the ravens steel eyes in the warm light, making them a light silver.
"Ready or not here I come!" levi shouted to wherever I was. Observing the older boy prancing around under the fluttering leaves. Looking behind rocks and all different kinds of trees that stood proudly on the earth. As the birds above sang their soft songs in the breeze.
"EREEEENNNN!" levi pouted " This isn't fair, where are you?!" he asked. Ironically he's walked passed me for the 5th time: Everytime I've had to my hand over my mouth to muffle my snickers watching the 10 yr old become agitated.
Soon enough 30 minutes passed by and one last 'HMPH" came from levi as he slumped to the ground crossing his arms and legs in defeat.
"Eren you can come out now, I give up"!!!
Creeping out of my supreme shelter of the bush, a smug smirk of victory crawled upon my lips.
I slowly approched my best friend from behind. Placing two hands on his shoulders.
"BOO!"
"AHHHHHH!!!!"
Bringing the raven with me I fell backwards towards the ground. Sweeping the hair away from my face as we lay side by side giggling at Levi's sore loser aspects.
"No fair... I Was supposed to find you brat" he murmured after calming down. The Wind gently swaying the tips of his hair back and forth. I stared out of the corner of my eye in awe at the older boy.
Levi got up off from our position on the ground.
"Lets go home".
Offering me a hand and getting up from the earth, we ran hand in hand out of our forest as dusk had just arrived and the songs of birds turned into soft lullabys of the night.
"Bye Bye levi!" I said with a massive grin on my face.
"Bye Eren, Happy 9th Birthday again!!" he gestured mirroring my grin and wave.
"See you tomorrow" we both said in sync and ran our seprate ways home.
