Chapter 20

She was starting to get worried because she hadn't heard from Rebekah, but all of a sudden she did hear a knock of the door

Thinking it was Carol she opened the door only to be surprised with her best friend standing there in a suit with a black dress bag in his hands

Very shocked she asked him what he was doing here and he said he was her date to homecoming. Stefan stepped inside shocked, he didn't know she redid her house. But he secretly liked it

He looked at her "I brought you some dresses. You didn't get to have a senior homecoming so I'm bringing you, and I know you were supposed to go with Rebekah but I literally haven't seen or heard from her all day. Now pick one of these dresses and glam up."

Zeara just stared at him. His tone and actions sound genuine, was his humanity back on? She tilted her head and it was like he could read her mind because he answered her question

"No my humanity isn't on I just don't want you to be alone while we're all having fun. Now go get dressed." He handed her the dresses with a blank face. Inside there was a part of him that couldn't push her away, even though he wanted too

The teen looked at him and smiled before giving him a huge hug

He hesitantly hugged her and smiled, his best friend never left him so of course he couldn't leave her. As Stefan looked around inspecting her house Zeara turned away and had the biggest smile

She knew that Stefan still held love for her even with his humanity off.

Because of that when he thought about her or was with his best friend, only then, only with her did a sliver of his humanity return

Closing the door and opening the dress bag there was three beautiful short dresses. The dresses were purple,blue, and black. She decided to go with the black one and quickly got ready

It was a short sparkly black dress that went off the shoulders and had long sleeves. It looked amazing on her

Once she was done with her hair and makeup she decided to accessorize and put on a beautiful necklace she had bought for herself

In on hour she was ready and the dance was going to start soon so the teen made her way out the bathroom. Her hair was curled and in a middle part with she had put on natural glam makeup

Her shoes glistened as they were black and sparkly just like her dress. Walking out she laughed, she had no idea Stefan could put together an outfit, and neither did he

She looked great and they were all ready but now they had to wait for Carol. Good thing the woman had perfect timing because she knocked on the door and showed up ready to watch her granddaughter

As Carol was in Zeara's house taking a picture of the two she smiled and was ready to send them off

"Ok Zeara honey you look great! And Stefan you look quite dashing. Now you two go and have fun but remember, don't cause any trouble!"

Oh how that statement wouldn't mean a thing tonight
