Elena doesn't remember her mother very well, since she died, when she was 3, but she still remembers a lot of great things about her and misses her very dearly, and still remembers her nickname, she gave her "Estrella". Though she now lives with the Madrigals, she'll never forget her mother and all that she has done to keep her safe, and constantly thinks about her.
