Kakashi x reader

This is a story where Kakashi is the leader of the Anbu because I feel like he could've done so much good with that

Y/N was walking through the streets of the leaf village looking to where the Anbu leader said he'd be, when he wasn't there at the allotted time they decided to wander... He's the leader, if he wasn't there when he said he would be he must have meant a different place, there's no way he would be late... Right?

Their train of though was cut off by a ninja dog nibbling their pant leg, as if that wasn't enough it spoke, "The Captain said the park, he sent me to find you and ask why you weren't there"

They blinked a few times before responding, "He wasn't there so I assumed it was the other park, sorry" they smiled, "Would you mind if I carried you back to the park or would you rather walk?"

The dog poofed into thin air, Guess that's a decent answer... They sighed and ran across the roofs back to the park

They arrived at the park, "I'm sorry I was late, after we train I'll make it up to you I promise" the dog masked man said shyly. He tussled his white hair around, "My job today is to assess your skills to see if you're Anbu material... Are you up to the challenge?"

Y/N nodded, he threw a kunai and they dodged it with ease, "So is it gonna get harder or are you going easy mode just for me" they smirked

A smoke bomb went off, they looked around to find no one. Then they sensed someone behind them, turned, kunai to kunai, sparks flying, he took off his mask and used the fire ball jutsu, Y/N moved and shoved a shiruken against his neck, "You actually look pretty good without your mask on, do you yield?"

"Yes now put that thing away, jeez are you trying to kill me?" He giggled

"Wasn't that the point of the exercise? Also, my names Y/N but you probably already knew that... What's yours?"

"Don't tell the higher ups I told you, I'm sure they'd get on my case about it but I suppose it'll help build trust... Kakashi, Kakashi Hatake at your service" he jokingly bowed and put his regular mask back on and the dog mask in his bag

They laughed, "So, how do you plan on making it up to me? or was that a joke"

He rubbed the back of his neck, "Lunch? My treat and you choose the place?"

"Sounds like a good deal, but what are you in the mood for?"

He thought to himself for a moment, "How about sushi? I know a good place down the road..."

"Are you sure you don't want to get ramen or something? Sushi is a bit pricey for a first outing don't you think?"

"I'm fine with paying a little more but it sounds like you want ramen instead so... To Ichirakus?"

Y/N took him by the arm, "Hurry up, I'm hungry..."

He smiled through his mask and walked beside them, he thought to himself for a moment, I know I'm the leader but they seem to have good senses, maybe even better than mine... I wonder if they'll notice...

"I'll be right back Y/N, I need to use the restroom, wait here ok?"

They nodded and he walked into the store bathroom, he decided to use the clone jutsu and hid his real self in the store, Y/N immediately knew it as soon as Kakashi came out of the store, she went to hug the clone and it blushed, they knew it was weak so they pinched his arm really hard making him effectively poof, the real one walked out of the store slow clapping, "I didn't expect you to get it immediately"

They smiled up at him, "Yup, I'm good and I've been practicing..." they spoke giggling

He blushed and began walking again, Wow, they're so talented and resourceful, and cute too! I hope they don't mind my... Wait a minute where's my...

"Are you looking for this?" They said holding up the book, they had the most bold of smirks on their face before popping a lollipop in their mouth and giggling

"How... When did... When did you grab my book?" He looked at them baffled and impressed before taking the book in his hands

"I've had it since the store, also... Who knew such a smart and talented shinobi would be reading something like that, it was so dirty... You read that in public?" They stared at his face with intense curiosity

"How did you even know what this book was?!? Most people don't even like books like this but... Be honest Y/N, are you a pervert?" He blushed at his own remark, his own thoughts, Pervert? What was I thinking... No I didn't think, something so straight forward, they must think so little of me

"Sorta kinda, I'm a big nerd for books, and this is on my shelf of favorites so you tell me" They smirked and continued walking

Big big pervert, amazing, "You coming?" They asked with pride

"Yeah, sorry Y/N" He jogged up to meet them

"So what have you been thinking about? Your brooding expression gives off way too many signals, am I failing the test for any reason?"

"No, that's not it at all, you're passing with flying colors actually, do you notice anything about the sky? It looks kinda sad today..." Obito, how I wish you were here to see me today, how proud you would be... I'll do all I can to avenge you, I promise to wipe out all the darkness of this world

"Yeah, reminds me of my parents, and my friends, I don't have any of either anymore, what about you?" They took a step closer to him and picked up their pace

"Not really, but we're almost at the shop, so if you maybe wanna get to know each other anymore we could over some steaming bowls of ramen" he smiled a sweet sad smile before turning his head to see Y/N's reaction

"Ok hurry up though I'm hungry, I could probably eat like 20 bowls," after saying that they truly believed the look on his face was priceless, "I'm only kidding Kakashi sensei, but I am hungry..."

They ordered their ramen and talked while they waited and talked while they walked back to Kakashis house, It would be reckless to send them back this late at night even if they're skilled, "wanna come see my library? Or do you wanna stay in the guest room and we'll do it in the morning?"

"Guess room, I'm sorry sir but I'm beat for the day, I haven't had this good of a conversation in so long but it was really draining," they rubbed the back of their neck

"I understand completely,"

He blushed and led them to their room, "Sweet dreams Y/N"

"Sweet dreams sensei"
