Chapter 3

Veronica's P.O.V.

"Ronnie get your ass out of bed and come say hi to your brother!" Tony called through the door.

"Can't I sleep for just 10 more minutes?" I asked groaning.

"No! Now get up and open the door!" He replied.

I groaned and got out of bed, I walked over to my door and opened it. Tony was leaning on the wall across from my room.

"Hi Tony." I said rubbing my eyes.

"Hey little sister." Tony said wrapping his arm around my shoulder, "What's up."

"Ugh, can't I just go back to sleep? What do you really want?" I asked.

"We have a meeting with Fury and I want you to come." He said.

"Do I have too?" I whined.

"Yes, now stop acting like a 5 year old and get dressed." He said slightly laughing.

"Fine." I muttered and went inside my room slamming the door in his face behind me. Obviously I'm not a morning person.

"Lets go." I said grabbing Tony by the arm when I walked out of the room. Tony just laughed and walked along side me. Minutes later we entered the conference room.

"Uranium, what does he need the uranium for?" I heard Bruce ask.

"It's a stabilizing agent. It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D." Tony said, "No offense point break, you've got a mean swing." I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as Loki wants." Tony said. "That man is playing Galaga, he didn't think we'd notice, but we did." "How does Fury even see these?" Tony asked.

"He turns." Agent Hill replied.

"Sounds exhausting." Tony said. I glanced around the room and connected eyes with Steve. I waved lightly at him and he smiled back.

"Loki needs something to, kick start the cube." Tony said.

"Does Loki need any particular type of power source?" Steve spoke up.

"He would have to heat the cube to 120 million calvin just to break the cool room barrier." Bruce said.

"Unless, Selvig figures out how to stabilize the quontom tonning affect." Tony replied.

"Well if he could do that he could achieve heavy ion fusion on any reactor on the planet." Bruce said.

"Finally someone who speaks English." Tony said.

"Is that what just happened?" Steve asked. I chuckled.

"Hey! I'm just as smart as you are Tony!" I said smirking.

"Keep dreaming." He said, "Anyway, your work on anti electronical collisions is unparalleled and I'm a hug fan of the way you lose control and turn into a giant green rage monster." Tony said, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"Thanks." Bruce said not really knowing how to reply.

"Dr. Banner is just here to help us find the tesseract." Fury said. "I was hoping you would join him."

"What about that Loki's scepter? It may be magical but it works a lot like a HYDRA weapon." Steve said.

"Let's go take a look." Tony said and Bruce followed him out the door.
