Coming to school the next Monday felt different. Other than hearing people I don't know call me 'the girl that was stuck in the closet with Childe for 2 minutes', I was actively trying to avoid seeing the man himself.

How am I suppose to pretend like it didn't happen? Am I suppose to look at him and forget the actual makeout session I just experienced with him. Thinking about it makes me bite my lip and Xinyan catches me off guard.

"Hey, (Y/N) ?" she lightly taps my shoulder and I look at her.
"Yes?"
"I was just telling you that I can't study with you at the library today, I gotta practice for my band performance thingy," I can tell she feels bad leaving me alone to fend for the wolves. Math is hard without Xinyan there.

"Its okay, just have a good practice session with the band!" I said and she smiles widely.
"Totally."

When I reach the library my body relaxes, something about the quietness and cool air in a library makes me feel comfortable. The library is usually filled nearing exam season and I barely managed to find a seat for myself.

However, when I sit down on that empty spot, I noticed the person sitting across me was Childe. Well, he was dozing off, his head on the table and his notes all over infront of him. Looking around to see if there were anymore empty spots, I sigh when I see no other option. Trying not to wake him up from his slumber, I take a seat infront of him quietly.

After a few minutes of trying to be as quiet as I can while studying, I let my sight wander to the features of his face. He looks so peaceful sleeping it makes me smile a bit. Maybe the assertive boy in the closet was just this soft being. I reach out my hands to push his bangs away from his eyes. When I pull my hand back, Childe's grip was on my wrist and I freeze. Was he awake this whole time?

"Hey," his eyes slowly open and he lifts his head, awakening from his sleep. He does not let go of my hand however. I look up at him a bit embarrassed and guilty that I woke him up.

"Sorry-"
"(Y/N)?" his grip on my wrists loosened and I pull my arm back.

I chuckle nervously, "That's me,"
Not being able to look back at him, I continued studying.

The whole hour. I was forcing myself to look at my textbooks rather than infront of me. I had to pretend that it didn't happen or not I'd make a fool out of myself hoping we were something more all of a sudden.

"Very focused there aren't you?" he said and I finally look at him. He had packed his books into his bag. I feel kind of sad seeing him about to leave.

"Yeah, I'm just really bad at math, I need to get this topic down before I go home." I tap my fingers on my textbook as if to show him the topic I was studying.

"I can help you," he stood up and took the empty seat beside me.
"Show me what you're working on," his face came closer to mine to look at the problem I was solving and I feel warmth in my cheeks.

"Uh, here." I pointed at the specific question I was struggling.

What seemed like a long time of him teaching me maths, I stopped to look at the time and realise its getting late.

"Oh god, its been hours, I'm sorry for keeping you here," I begin to pack up my books.

"Oh but thanks for teaching me maths, I really appreciate it," I smiled and was about to stand up and leave but Childe holds me by my arm again and I look at him.

"If you're sorry, then make up for it," he said, his eyes almost twinkling up at me.
"Make up for it...?"
"Stay. For awhile." he pulled on my arm and I sit down again, facing him this time.

Looking in his eyes makes me shiver, it makes me remember the moment in the closet and how warm he felt. I frown at that thought since I have no way of knowing what that kiss meant.

"(Y/N)...?" he asks with concern when he sees my frown.
"Childe..., I don't know what that kiss in the closet meant." I laid it out straight. I'm done with never confessing, with pretending I don't care when I do. This time, I'm going to do something about it.

"Maybe it was just the spur of the moment or it meant nothing to you. But... it meant something to me, so I can't do this. I can't, be here with you right now."

Childe, clearly surprised by the outburst of information was speechless for a moment.

"It meant something to me too," he says, and smiles at me.

"It did?"

"Yes and the next one will too,"

"Next-" he pulls me in and without a second thought our lips press against each other like it was made for it.

"Hold still,"
