Chapter 01

Machine Shop/ Parking Lot

A massive explosion ripped through the building as the windows blow outwards. A screaming burning man flies out the building into the night air.
More men race out in fear, some on fire.
A bullet pierced through two vampires turning them into ash.

Blade strides out as Blaire dropped down beside him,
"How many explosives did you use?", she raised and eyebrow as the debris of wood and stone fall from the building.
"Not much", he said looking at the vamps who ran for their lives towards their vehicles.
Blaire tilted her head,
"My bike is better than theirs", she muttered as Blade crushed a skull to pieces with his boot.

They look to see a car coming at them, Blade fires some shots with his Mach pistol and Blaire dashed forward leaping over the car just as Blade did. Blade fires from behind his back turning the vampire driver to ash. Blaire winced as the pole dropped on the car causing it to explode.

Blade points his pistol at the vampires who stopped to hiss at them. Blaire pulls out her katanas with a smirk, twirling them in her hands,
"Wanna play", her eyes glowed their fiery amber. Blade holsters his Mach pistol and reaches for his chain-knife that was strapped to his thigh.

One of them rushes at them but Blade slices through him like nothing. Blaire hissed as she stabbed the other in its abdomen, watching it turn to ash.She looks at Blade who looked at the knife impressed,
"Alright big guy, let's go, admire that later", she smiled as they ran to the bridge on the over pass.

Blaire watched as they drove away,
"Pussies", she muttered.

"We're on the stone bridge overpass", Blade tells Whistler through comms.

"Got it. Heading westbound. I'm just beneath ya", Whistler honks the horn, "Go!".

Blaire smirked as they dropped down landing on the semi. She looked at Blade who slipped off the edge landing on the car next to them,
"Blade", she called out as he snags the safety cable pulling himself inside. Blaire flipped over the edge and swung herself inside being caught by Blade who set her down on her feet. She leaned up kissing his cheek as they got in his car.

Blade turned the engine over as it roared to life. He rockets out of the semi, sailing right over a car that honked his horn and tail-gated the semi. The swerved into oncoming traffic!

Blade hits his breaks to which Blaire covered her eyes, as he spun them around and drove off.
"Next time, I'll drive", she said seeing him smirk. He drove up beside Whistler giving a thumbs up and Blaire smiled with a wave as Whistler grinned giving them a thumbs up.
Blade drives off, Blaire looked at him,
"Let's catch up", she said as he reached between the seat and flipped the nitrous oxide fuel-injection switch.
The charger jets forward catching up with the vamps on the bikes. They fired their guns at them, not knowing they had a bullet proof windshield.
Blade smirks flipping the nitrous switch again and runs over one of them. They could hear the bike scrape underneath. One of them still continued to fire at them but instead swerved past a car only to get up behind them.

Blaire turned slightly pulling out a katana as Blade slammed on the brakes, the tires screech just when the vampire crashes through the back windshield and in between them.
Blade starts punching the shit out of him, Blaire opened her door, grabbing the vamp by the back of his shirt,
"Byeee", she smiled pulling him over her to which he grabbed the door trying to pull Blaire out with him.
Blaire hissed grabbing his hand and breaking it just as Blade pulls out a shotgun, he fires. The vampire turned to ash, Blaire closes the door dusting the ash from her hand.

Blaire looks up as yet another vampire lunges onto the hood of the car, he tries to smash through the windshield. Blade smirks taking his shotgun and shoots the vamp to ashes.

Blaire hits the wipers,
"Damn, can't see", she muttered as the ashes sludged across the windshield.

Blade catches up with the car, who fires at them. He turns on the ultra violet lights and Blaire could see the vampires turned to ash but noticed movement in the back.

"There's one more", she said to Blade.
Blade slams into the charger and the car grinds with sparks. Blade jerks his steering wheel and slams again into the car causing it to hit a wall and it flipped over.
The wrecked car skids across the pavement hitting a pole.
Blade stops the car getting out along with Blaire who looked at the humans who stared at them with fear. Blade reloads and fires a stake hitting what they thought was a vamp; in the back.

Blaire pulled out a katana twirling it in her hand eyeing up the man, curious as to why he wasn't ash.
Blade also looked puzzled. The man was still alive;
yet was laughing, his fangs showing. Blaire turned the man over with her boot,
"He staked you with silver. Why aren't you ash?", she looked at his body as he coughed,
"Why aren't you both smarter? Not a vampire....dumbshits- - set your sorry asses up", he laughed tugging off the fangs.
Blaire growled at it, the man laughs looking past them. Blaire turned looking up at the building seeing a figure perched on top.

She stands up with a frown as a light shined on them from above- police sirens and a chopper.
Blade pulled Blaire with him and ran to their charger and speeds off.
Blaire rubbed her face with a groan,
"Whistler is gonna have our heads, big guy", she said looking at him.

Blade squeezed her thigh gently,
"We didn't know he was human", he said assuring her that everything was gonna be okay.
