In the silence of your presence, in the loudness of your demise, I find myself scarred, as I once feared.

Just like an oblivious and desperate traveler, you found me.

The finding of your eyes ignited something in you.

They always say that fire can't go with water, the unquenchable thirst of one meets its match in the consuming inferno of the other.

I liked the sound of that.

We liked the sound of that.

But two sides of a same coin can't stand still, one has to take over, for when the desert awakes — nothing survives.

So amidst the sandstorm that engulfed us, like rebel kids we fought against the one thing that could kill us both — sand suffocated water, sand dug fire its own grave.
