Save the Graduation

Start from the beginning

Senketsu: Ryuko?

Ryuko: How?

Senketsu: Huh?

Ryuko: HOW?!

Senketsu: I still don't follow.

Ryuko: HOW ARE YOU TWO STILL ALIVE?!

Senketsu: Oh, if that's what you're asking then you shouldn't be looking at me. It was all Tatsumi here.

Tatsumi: Remember when I grabbed a piece of Senketsu and I tore him off. I managed to hold him tight enough for him to make it through the atmosphere.

-FLASHBACK-

Senketsu: C'mon! The least I can do is save you too! AAAAAHHHHHH!

Tatsumi barely lifts his arm to grab Senketsu's eye, but he was burnt so badly that it just ripped off completely as Tatsumi still held it tightly.

-----------------------------------

Senketsu: During that time when I reached out for him, I managed to evolve my body once more. Sadly, I couldn't do it for the rest of my body though. I from that point forward I drank the rest of Tatsumi's blood, giving me enough power to fly Tatsumi to the nearest medic.

Satsuki: Amazing, but when did you learn to do that?

Senketsu: Before we went over to fight Ragyo, Tatsumi decided to pour some of his blood on me so I could absorb it. Said blood helped me evolve past the need for Life Fibers. And the more I drank, the less I needed them. Right now I'd say that I'm half Life Fiber half Incursio. I did

Tatsumi: I knew that would come in handy.

Senketsu: Who knew it would end up saving my life?

Tatsumi: That was the last thing I managed to see before I passed out, but when I woke up. A doctor was taking care of me down in Tokyo.

Senketsu: That was me. I used what little power I had left to turn back into my Tatsu form so I could give him a somewhat safe landing. Luckily for us, people were close enough to us to get Tatsumi to safety. After a few weeks of healing and hospitality, Tatsumi decided that it was time to come back to you all.

Ryuko: B-But the fire?

Senketsu: It wasn't the fire that hurt me. It was more so that I couldn't handle absorbing the Primordial Life Fiber as well as the Life Fibers of all of the students. So absorbing Tatsumi's blood as he fell gave me the substitute I needed to keep living. My guess is that it made my Life Fibers just strong enough to survive the fall.

Tatsumi: Heh. Ain't that something.

Ryuko looks back to Tatsumi who smiles back at her.

Tatsumi: I did it Ryuko. I finally managed to save someone important to me after all.

Ryuko looked at Tatsumi's smile and looked down. She couldn't look at him, not his smile at least or else she'd burst into tears. For the first time in her life, she had been overwhelmed with such extreme joy that she couldn't even put it into words.

Ryuko: Y'know you're incredible. I mean you walk into my life, start helping me with impossible tasks, bare handed without asking for more than a thank you in return, looked at me the same when I was fighting naked, made me feel loved when I was at my lowest, all while carrying a burden that you fought and won against... Half of those things made me fall in love with you, now I might just be bat shit crazy for you. So what happens next is your fault alright.

Ryuko takes a deep breath before grabbing Tatsumi by his hoodie and pulling him in for a kiss. It gave her so much joy to give it that she felt like she could spend the rest of her life like this. And when Tatsumi had pulled her in closer, she was certain of it.
