Tatsumi points to Satsuki who was standing behind Rei.

Satsuki: Rei Hououmaru, in my own small way I will build a world where all those who make no sense can live. To do that I need your help.

Satsuki's bright light shined behind her once more as she reaches her hand out to Rei.

Satsuki: If you ever find my actions objectionable, feel free to kill me in my sleep without hesitation. I will forfeit my life to you gladly.

Rei's glasses begin to crack as she continues to look at Satsuki.

Rei: W-What kind of crazy nonsense are you spewing?

Satsuki: Crazy nonsense... That's just how we roll.

Ryuko shows up right behind Satsuki.

Ryuko: It seems like you sheathed your blade just fine, Sis.

Ryuko walks over to Tatsumi.

Ryuko: And thank you Tatsumi. For everything.

Tatsumi: No need to thank me. I enjoyed every second of it.

Ryuko stares at Tatsumi, waiting for him to disappear but nothing happens.

Ryuko: What's going on? Isn't this the part where you disappear back to the afterlife or whatev-

Tatsumi cuts her off with a hug as Ryuko's eyes begin to widen as she feels Tatsumi's warmth cover her own body. She starts feeling his arms to check if this was really happening as tears started to form in her eyes.

Ryuko: Wait... W-Why can I feel this? Tatsu- Tatsumi. I-Is it really you? You're not dead, right? Because if this is a joke then I'm going to be really pissed off!

Tatsumi pulls away from her and gives her his signature smile.

Tatsumi: Turns out I got my happy ending huh?

Tears start to roll down her cheeks as Ryuko throws herself into Tatsumi's arms elated to see him back after all of this time. She then pulls her arm back and punches Tatsumi so hard that he hits the ceiling before falling back down.

Tatsumi: [Groaning in pain] Yeah, should've seen that coming.

She runs over to Tatsumi before mounting him and grabbing his hoodie. Her eyes were filled with rage, sadness, and confusion.

Ryuko: You asshole! Leaving me to think that you died back there! What were you thinking?!

Tatsumi: Hey! I didn't know that I was going to survive either. Those words I said back there were meant to be my last. You seriously think that I'd do all of that for show?

Ryuko calms down, a bit embarrassed at her outburst. She collapses onto Tatsumi and speaks silently, almost whispering.

Ryuko: S-Sorry about that. You come back from the dead for me and the first thing I do is belt you one.

Tatsumi: It's fine, I kinda deserve it.

Ryuko: Y-You don't have to be sorry. I shouldn't have hit you anyway.

Tatsumi: What's this, Ryuko apologizing for hitting me? Are you sure I'm not dead?

Ryuko: No... It's because of your influence dumbass. But it's fine because I know how you're going to repay me.

Tatsumi: Is that so?

Ryuko: Yeah, it is. You're going to repay me by going on a date with me!

You could almost hear everyone take a breath, anticipating the response Tatsumi was going to give.
