The scissor quickly retract back to their normal size as Ryuko lands in the destruction with a smile on her face as her hair color fades and one last strain of life fiber makes its way to the red strip in her hair.
Ryuko: Thank you... Tatsumi, Senketsu...
Ryuko had looked up to see that someone was already walking in front of her. Another familiar body type wearing a scarf.
Rei: Impossible! But how!?

Rei turns around and puts a knife to Tatsumi's neck, who just stands there looking her dead in the eyes.
Rei: Graduate from Ragyo?! From the beauty of a nonsensical world?! It's so completely absurd! It's the dream of someone who has everything! I bet that you have no idea, what it's like to lose EVERYTHING!
She tries to stab his neck, but the blade just breaks on impact and falls right next to her. Tatsumi then grabs her hand and lowers it.
Tatsumi: I see now. You've lost a lot in this world, haven't you? While I don't know exactly what you've been through, I can at least tell you one important thing and that's that if you continue to blindly cling to another person's idea of what's right and what's wrong. You'll eventually get lost in the world's smoke and flames. The only way to find true happiness is to forge your own path with your own two hands. It's a lot harder to do, but in the end, it'll all be worth the fight. Because you'll finally find your way in this crazy world.
Rei continues to look at Tatsumi, moved by what he said.
Tatsumi: From what I learned, there are even more threats still in this realm, and even in other realms that are causing people like you to suffer. I want to create a world where that doesn't have to be the case. Where everyone can live freely and equally without having to worry about falling into a path of darkness. A free world where anyone is free to do anything they please without having to worry about some higher power comming down on them for it. That's the path I'm choosing to walk down. Where that path leads me, I don't know and to be honest with you I don't really care either, as long as the voice inside my head tells me to fight, I'll keep pushing. That's my way, and with the people I have pushing me, I'll never lose it again.
Rei: Why are you telling me this?!
Tatsumi: Because it's never too late to look inside yourself and figure out what you wanna do for yourself. Nobody's going to carve your path for you, but there can be some people to help you walk down that path and I can think of someone who may be willing to help you find yours.
