Wren woke up and things just felt too fast paced, getting up from bed, drinking some stale coffee from last night, getting dressed for work, grabbing her apartment keys, and finally getting out of the house.
It was quite weird that she looked as if to rush for work, but the coffee shop was just 4 establishments away, across her apartment.
Maybe she was just very punctual.
A reckless yet punctual green-haired barista.
"Good morning, Monty!" Wren chirped to the her co-worker
"Wren, it's 8:30 in the morning. What's your secret to waking up like you're shooting glitters out of your mouth? Monty joked
They both chuckled
"Well, my apartment looks depressing enough, I wanna look like I have my shit together to make up for it" she replied, then laughed.
The day went on like everyday, the morning filled the coffee shop of working people who yearned to get their coffee carrying bags and probably deserves some sleep for working too much, but they can't afford to. Vacations and rest days would mean they might not afford food for the next few days.
Wren was just making orders, as usual. In her mind though, she was thinking of how to polish her loadout, she was not doing her best in Call of Duty last night and her friends weren't also enjoying the Wren that keeps fucking up. Maybe it wasn't her loadout though.
She wasn't doing that well for the past few days. Margaux was her yellow Labrador who passed away from old age. Marg was with Wren for 12 years and they were like Shaggy and Scooby-Doo or John and Marley.
The only difference it makes was that it wasn't a show for Wren. It was her life, her other half. Wren and Margaux were the type of duo to watch New Girl because Wren would go through really tough breakups. Margaux doesn't speak, but she knows what her human feels.
Maybe Margaux just knows like ah, my dearest human is going through emotional pain again, how do I tell her that I am here for her?
By the end of Monty and Wren's shift, Wren was silent and Monty noticed.
Monty's lips parted but the words never came out. Maybe Wren doesn't want anyone to bring up Margaux today. he thought to himself before pursing his lips shut again.
"You were about to say something about Marg, weren't you?" Wren frowned
"Yeah, I noticed you were so bright to greet me but you looked empty all day" replied Monty
There was a moment of silence, which worried the poor boy. He thought that this might cause Wren to cry either in front of him or when she gets home. He doesn't want either of the two to happen.
Wren was like his little sister, he wanted her to be happy all the time.
He would protect her at all cost.
After saying goodbye to Monty, Wren arrived home at exactly 8:14pm.
They lived in a small town so it was a ghost town after 8:30pm.
After taking off her tight fitted shirt, she changed to more comfortable clothes.
The first thing you would do first is dinner, unfortunately Wren doesn't know this rule. She goes straight to her computer to play games.
Bad decisions, remember?
Maybe she will eat dinner after losing one game then keep playing until 12 midnight, then sleep on the chair.
3 in the morning, she would wake up to get some snacks, take a bath, then go back to sleep until she wakes up for work that same morning.
This is mostly how her cycle goes and it's not the healthiest
talk about the most precious being in this world
What happens to Wren? We'll never know. Maybe the cycle will break sooner or later?
Maybe.
I'm not sure.
but all I know is Morgan stays up every night
looking for this green-haired girl he found in his dreams.
he looks for her every single day.
