Chapter Two: Volatile Girly

Third person POV:

Reigen and Mob arrived at the scene where the possesion occured. The graffiti looks like it had been mostly scrubbed off, recently as well.
' Who..? ' Reigen had assumed this was just nonsense but it looked like someone really was mad at them for this. ' We need more clues. '
"Mob, do you sense any psychic energy?"

Mob wasn't listening though, he was lost in thought. This was only around the block from where he met that strange girl. ' Maybe she just lives around here. '

Reigen tapped Mob on the shoulder, "Mob did you hear my question?"

"Oh, no I didn't sorry, master."

"It's fine just make sure you stay alert. You never know when an evil spirit could show up!"

Speaking of evil spirits, Dimple was currently a bit tied up in the soccer field at the school. Y/n had seen him floating around the school and snatched him during the bustle of people leaving campus. "I'm tellin' ya lady Im not here to cause trouble!"

"But you are an evil spirit, and what business do you even have at a highschool huh? Trying to possess vulnerable teens??"

"Well that's not completely wrong. . . Listen here girly! I've got a really powerful esper friend and he'll be suuuuuper mad if you exorcise me."

Y/N's grip on him loosened a bit at the mention of another esper in her school. And powerful? Her powers were still super underdeveloped so she couldnt sense other espers yet. 'Wait, there is someone like me?' To her dismay though, Dimple took his chance to escape when she loosened her grip. He was long gone now, headed over to warn Shigeo that there was yet another psychic in town.

Back by the playground...

The investigation has not yielded very much information, but it had been clear that whoever possessed that teen had come back and tried cleaning off the graffiti. ' wait if they came back to the scene then someone must have seen.. ' Reigen was getting back on the right track. "Mob!"

"Yes master?"

"We need to stake out this playground!"

Aaannd then back right off track. Asking around the neighborhood probably would show much better results, but alas, this was the plan they were going with. Reigen left Mob there to keep an eye out while he fetched some stuff from the office for the stakeout.

Y/N had started making her way home already, rapidly approaching that same road. While Dimple was waiting at the office. When Reigen arrived he immediately told him that a "super scary" and "volatile" new esper was around.

' Are they responsible for messing with those kids?? ' Reigen dropped the sleeping bags in his arms and darted with Dimple out of the office.

Meanwhile..

Y/N saw that same plain looking boy sitting on a swing kicking his feet looking around as if he was waiting for someone. Naturally she approached him, "Whatcha up to swing boy?"

"Swing boy..?"

" Well I don't know your name so-"

Mob stood up and bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Shigeo Kageyama."

"It's fine don't worry about it Kageyama-kun. I'm F/N L/N, I think we are in the same year."

"Actually Y/N, if you don't mind me asking what are you doing out this late?"

"Oooh uh" Y/N looked to the side, remembering her encounter with the green, booger-like ghost. There was no way she could tell him that though. Although, much to her detriment she was a very bad liar. "Groceries..?"

Mob should have been able to tell she wasn't getting groceries, the only thing she had with her was her school bag. He presumed she either put them away, or was late night shopping though.

"Oh, okay. Some weird stuff has been happening around here lately though, try not to stay out too late."

"Weird stuff?"

Mob remembered Reigen telling him that he should be on the look out for any suspicious individuals with esper energy around them. Y/N wasn't suspicious and he couldn't sense any psychic energy coming off of her either. "Some boys reported a possession around this area."

"Possesio-"

Reigen told Dimple what park Mob was at, suspecting that whoever it was that had 'attacked' their little greeny had returned to the scene.

Dimple was much faster than Reigen, so when he saw Mob and the girl from the skies he dive-bombed himself into her head and knocked her to the ground with a loud cry of achievement. "Haha take that!!"

Shigeo POV:

In just a second Y/N was knocked to the ground and dimple floated up from the ground. He hit her with so much force directly into her head that she was knocked out cold. "DIMPLE?! Why would you do that to her!"

"Shigeo, that girl is a dangerous psychic! She attacked me today that's why I wasn't here!"

There's no way Y/N-chan is capable of something like that, she seems so lovely. Not to mention I can't feel any energy coming off of her. "Dimple she doesn't have any psychic energy though."

"What. No no no Shigeo she definitely can see me, she even grabbed me with a super death grip!"

Reigen stumbled into the playground, he has been running for sure, sweat was dripping down his face and onto his suit. He seems worried though, is Dimple telling the truth?
"Mob! Are you alright?" Reigen glanced at the ground at the passed out girl. "Why is there a girl on the ground??"

"Yes I'm okay. Dimple dive bombed her head." I lean over her and am reminded of the other time she was passed out like this. ' does this happen often? '

"Dimple! Do you know how much a lawsuit from this girl would cost if she wakes up and blames me!?" Reigen, as always is definitely focused on the business side of things. I'm not very financially aware as he puts it so it makes sense he would be concerned about something serious like a lawsuit. I sit down by her, and try to see if she really does have any esper energy after all. Upon closer examination there is definitely a tiny little hint, but that should only be enough to see spirits? Why would dimple say she attacked him.

While those two continued to argue about wether or not she'd sue us, I tap Y/N-chan on the shoulder. I use just a little bit of my power and try to get her to wake up.

Third person POV:

Y/N's eyes open slowly, but when she sees Shigeo leaning over her like last time she shoots up accidentally hitting their foreheads together. "Ow.."

He rubs his head, with one eye squinted in pain. "Are you alright Y/N-chan?"

"What? Oh yeah I think so.." She rubs her head, but when she turns and sees Dimple looking at the two of them she jumps again, and instinctively hides behind Shigeo, who looks at her surprised. "Why is- what is that little green guy doing here?"

"That's dimple. He haunts me." Mob Pats her hand, reassuring that he really is not a dangerous spirit. She stays latched onto his back, even as Shigeo slowly pulls the two of them up from their sitting positions on the ground.

"Yeah bet you weren't expecting that, lady! Once I prove to Shigeo that you attacked me he's really gonna dish it out!" Mob was definitely not going to be dishing anything out, especially not to the confused Y/N behind him.

At this point, even Reigen was not confident that Dimple was telling the truth. "Dimple, you're saying this highschool girl was the 'super scary' and 'volatile' psychic that attacked you?"
