Urban legend

(This story is inspired by the Japanese urban legend aka manto,not trying to copy please feel free to read.......)

"Did you hear about this?"

My friend brie asked me and my other friend jennie. Apparently me and my other two friends brie and jennie had planned a study date at my house since our exams are nearly. We three became best friends because we all had one thing in common we loved ghost stories and urban legends, well jennie's a bit terrified and scared most of the times but she still enjoys it at sometimes. I sighed before looking over at brie,she probably found yet another interesting urban legend on the internet to read or some ridiculous theories about the horror movies we've watched before. As much as I like hearing about them,we dont have much time to check them out now as our exams are nearing quickly and we've bearly studied anything as we have been to busy wasting our time watching ghost documentaries or reading about some urban legends so thus we held a study date so we can study and revise together. But brie doesn't seem to get the idea of it because for the past one hour instead of studing she's been on the internet trying to find some "interesting " ghost challenges for us to do. She's read about twenty of them but then says that their not too "adventurous " for us to do.

"What now brie?"

I asked,clearly fed up with her.

"Aka manto"

"Aka who?"

Jennie suddenly piped in.

"Aka manto, a famous Japanese urban legend,I found it on google. Do you want to hear about it? It's pretty interesting"

"Your probably gonna read it even if we refuse, so yes"

I said

"Ok then, you might wanna get comfy"

She said as jennie and I looked at each other before turning towards brie completely. I gestured her to start

"Aka mango also known as red cape,red vest, akai kami aoi kami or occasionally aoi manto is a Japanese urban legend about a masked spirit who wears a red cloak and who appears to people using toilets in public or school bathrooms. Accounts of the legend vary,but one consistent element of the story is that the spirit will ask the occupant of the toilet a question. In some versions, he will ask if they want red paper or blue paper,though other versions identify the choices as a red cloak or a blue cloak ,or as a red cape or a blue cape. Choosing either option will result in the individual being killed,so the individual must run away,ignore the spirit or reject both options in order to survive.

She finished and looked at us in excitement, me and jennie both knew where this was going.

"Before you say anything at all,no. We're not going to do it because it doesn't male any sense plus we've got an exam we need to study for"

I finished. Brie pouted.

"But come on! It looks fun and it's been a while since we've done something exciting! What do you say jennie?"

Brie asked she looked at jennie,who was looking everywhere but at brie. I sighed in defeat because I knew that jennie would want to try this out but because of me she kept quiet.

"Ok fine, but after this we're going to study and we have to make this quick"

I said. Both brie and jennie squealed in excitement before attacking me with hugs. I had to hold still because they practically jumped on me which was going to result in me falling.
