"She is not," Sayori winked, tapping Kai'len's nose.

"See, Mama?" Kai'len batted her long lashes, "I had ta' fuss at Uncle Mani 'cause he was kissin' ha!"

"See, Dani? My baby was only tryna help ha' Teedy out," Imaan's God-brother, Kyren came to his daughter's defense, "Good job, my baby."

"Lawd, help me," Dani shook her head, as Imaan laughed, "I'm raisin' two damn kids."

"You owe me a dolla' Mama," Kai'len held her hand out, "'Cause that's a cuss word." Dani smacked her lips, handing her daughter a dollar bill.

"You can't raise a man," Kyren said, as Dani shared a look with Sayori, who bursted into laughter.

"Ky, you ain't get that one," Imaan shook his head, "Not at all."

As the group laughed, Imaan watched as his mother approached with Henry at her side, "Hey, my babies!"

"What's up, Nanny and Henrietta?" Kyren greeted, kissing Marjorie's temple as Henry shook his head.

"Big Marj!" Dani laughed, as Marjorie hyped her up, "You already know!"

"Teedy Mar!" Kai'len cheesed, reaching for her. Marjorie glady took her from Imaan, kissing her face causing her to laugh.

She talked with the small family for a short moment, before the three headed back to their table. Marjorie turned to Sayori, who smiled, "How are you enjoying yourself?"

"I am having a great time," Sayori said honestly, leaning against Imaan, "The whole environment is amazing—not to mention the food!"

"I'm glad you're liking it! Hopefully, I see you every year after this one," Marjorie smiled.

"I will," Sayori answered, "It's up to this one, though."

"Well," Marjorie looked at her son, "I'll be seeing you next year, then."

"Tell her again, Ma," Imaan cosigned, kissing Sayori's temple, "She ain't goin' nowhere."

Marjorie watched as the two interacted with one another—it's almost as if everyone around them disappeared. It warmed Marjorie's heart to see her son happy, especially with someone as gentle as Sayori. However, she couldn't help but to notice the sadness in Sayori's eyes—she'd witnessed it since the day she came, and her maternal instincts wouldn't let her miss it.

"Sayori," Marjorie smiled, "Walk with me?"

"Of course," Sayori handed her drink to Imaan, "We'll be back, baby."
