The Rejection

Prologue

Jermey:

A girl is found nearly bludgeoned to death on the ground of a shady alleyway by a man named Jeremy, he immediately calls the police and ambulance to report this. They arrive shortly after receiving the call, and look around the bloody scene, the ambulance nurses rush over to the body and yell for the bed after getting a pulse from the victim.

''Help.'' I heard the young girl mumble, I stumbled towards her, leaning over

''don't worry, you're going to be ok,'' I assure

''Jack? I thought...'' she trailed off her skin turned ashen and pale as though she'd been painted in white paint even her lips were barely visible, as her eyes rolled up and her head lolled backward.

A nurse quickly rushed past me, pushing me to the side a bit, two others followed her shortly after, kindly asking me to step back and talk to the police. I did as I was told, watching as she carefully lifted her limp body, placing it on the bed, then rushing her to the ambulance.

I stayed quiet, my eyes glued onto the now closed doors of the moving ambulance.

I let a sigh out through my nose , knowing this was indeed going to be a long day.
