After the revolutionary war, Tatsumi was able to survive the fight with the emperor. No longer willing to stay in the Empire after seeing so much death, so he leaves in search for a new start in his life, and this journey starts with a girl named Ry...
Tatsumi was brought out of his cage and behind the top of Honnouji's tower still tied up.
Tatsumi: What are you planning on doing to me this time?
Ragyo: Oh nothing, you're just going to be our little present.
Tatsumi: Present?
Ragyo: You'll see what I mean in a little moment.
Just then a cable car zooms up to the top of Honnouji Academy and out of it pops Ryuko, determined for revenge for Tatsumi.
Tatsumi: Ryu- mfff!
He gets gagged by Nui with a ball of COVER.
Nui: Just enjoy the show will you.
Nui hopes down as Ryuko starts mowing through COVERS on her motorcycle. Freeing everyone inside before calling out Ragyo's name.
Ryuko: RAGYO! NUI! You wanted me!? Well, here I am! I'm going to make you bitches suffer for what you did to Tatsumi!
Nui: *Clapping* Bravo, bravo! You're so cool Ryuko! Like a punk rock goddess! Did you do something with your hair?
Ryuko: Shut up and fight me. I swear I'll kill both of you.
Nui: I don't know why you want to kill us so badly. I mean it's not like it'll change anything. You'll still be a lab experiment and Tatsumi will-
Ryuko rushes up on her motorcycle and slashes at Nui with her blades.
Ryuko: SHUT UP! Don't you dare say his name.
Nui destroys the motorcycle, but Ryuko was able to jump off of it and continue clashing with Nui, who is laughing throughout the entire exchange.

Ragyo is currently looking at the exchange like a proud mother when she gets a missile launched at her via Nudist beach.
Ragyo: What horrid mechanical designers you have. Oh well if it makes you feel better. Take your best shot.
More missiles and bullets get fired at Ragyo who uses the COVERS as a shield. Meanwhile, Satsuki was still chained up, and hearing all the commotion, decided that now was the time to act.
Satsuki: Seems like my ride is here.
She uses the toenail that she has been sharpening over the past month and cuts the chains. Before running out of the building, slicing any COVER in her way with her sharpened toe.
Nui: I know how lost you must feel now. All this time thinking you were human, only to find out that you owe your existence to the Life Fibers that you're trying to kill. You don't know who your friends or your enemies are anymore. You're alone you feel like there's no one else around that really understands you.
Ryuko: Are you gonna fight me or not.
Nui: You don't have to suffer anymore. You don't have to be alone anymore, because now you have me. I'm the only one in the world that understands you!
