Ch. 2 "Angry"

                                               Satori POV 

We finally get home, 

"Honey why don't you take a warm bath," Mommy said setting me down, 

"Okay," I said smiling, 

"I'm gonna call, Chase to babysit you okay," She said 

"Okay," I said smiling at her then walking down the hall to the bathroom, 

                                            Pepper POV 

I was beyond infuriated, 

I called Chad, he's got some nerve doing this to her again! I thought 

"Hello," He answer after three rings, 

"Are you kidding me right now," I said 

"Look I know your mad-" He began, 

"Oh I'm beyond that, you promised her! you promised her!" I said 

"What do you want me to do business came up, I told her when I get back I'll make it up to her-" He began, 

"Oh don't give me that!" I said as I paced back and forth angry, 

"Satori isn't some coat you hang in the closet, then pick it up when your ready to wear it," I said 

"It's not like that." He said 

"Really because that what it seems to me, you've got responsibilities as a father to her," I said 

"What do you want me to do Pepper Work got in the way," He said 

"Work always gets in the way, you always put work before anything! including her and it's pathetic! when was the last time you spent any time with her!" I said 

"Look I'll-" He said 

"If you say make it up to her I will hang up on you right now, she might as well not have a father, your never there for her, you make promises that you never keep!" I said 

It was silent, 

"And you just drop her off at my job not even thinking anything could have happened to her!" I said 

"I had to catch a flight," He said 

I was so angry, 

"You know what don't even bother showing up for a while," I said hanging up on him, 

I was leaning against the kitchen counter with my hand on my hip, shaking my head in disappointment and disgust, 

I take a few deep breaths, and dial the babysitter 

"Hello?" I hear 

"Chase sorry I know we didn't agree on this weekend but do you think you can come over to watch Satori?" I asked 

"No problem Miss, Potts I'd love to," He said 

"Great thank you," I said 

"I'll be over in a little bit," He said 

"Okay," I said 

With that I hung up, 

Satori walked in, 

"I'm going to leave money for pizza with Chase how does that sound," I said squatting in front of her, 

She smiled and nodded, 

"Oh Honey I'm so sorry," I said playing with the ends of her hair, 

"I'm not upset, Dad had work, besides I got to meet Tony Stark today, I must say he's much taller in person," She said 

This made me chuckle, 

"Yeah, Yeah he is," I said 

The doorbell rang, I stood up, 

I opened the door, and there stood Chase, 

"Chase thank you so much, I'm leaving money for Pizza," I said 

"No, problem, did you hear that 'T' Pizza," He said smiling down at her, 

"I did," She said smiling at him, 

"Okay, I have to go," I said squatting in front of her, giving her a hug, and kissing her cheek, 

"Be good for Chase," I said 

"I will," She said as she hugged me, 

I stood up and walked out of the house, 

As soon as I got in the elevator at the tower, 

"Miss Potts. Mr Stark has instructed me to inform you to meet him in his office as soon as you arrive," FRIDAY said 

"Okay," I said 

Great, I thought 

As soon as I the elevator doors opened I made my way to his office, wonder how I'm going to explain this to him, 

I mean sure we've been dating for some time, but I was waiting for the right moment to tell him about this, 

I guess I have no choice now, 

I walked in, to see him sitting in his chair, looking down at his tablet, 

I shut the door, 

He looked up, 

"You've got some explaining to do," He said 

"I know," I said
