"ASPEN ! Bring yo ass hea girl !" I heard Markus yell through out the tiny apartment he had me locked in.
I whimpered thinking about the beating I knew I was about to receive. I locked myself in the bathroom knowing the locks weren't strong enough to hold him off. I prayed to God hoping he'd go easy on me.
"ASPEN ! Bitch where you at!" He yelled , I could hear him walk in the room and his big feet get closer to the bathroom door.
He laughed , knowing he'd found me. I cried harder and harder. He started kicking the door and on his last kick, the door split in half. He pushed what was left of the door and stood over me in the tiny bathroom.
"You thought you can hide from me bitch? Where the fuck you gone hide Aspen?", he growled at me as he grabbed my hair.
The pain I felt surging through my scalp was so painful. He let go of my hair and grabbed my neck tightening his grip. I couldn't breathe and all air was leaving my small body.
"Mar-Markus please" I struggled grabbing at his hands.
"YOU'LL NEVER FUCKIN LEAVE ME!", he yelled in my face. He was angry and his eyes turned black.
He dropped me on the floor and pulled out his gun , I began to cry hoping someone help me. He looked at me on the floor and pulled the trigger twice.
POW 💥 POW 💥
My body jumped up in cold sweat, tears still rushing down my face and I could barely breathe. I began to cry because I was terrified of him finding me. I guess I was crying loud , because Phoenix woke up alert pulling his gun from under his nightstand quickly. He realized it was just me and relaxed. He quickly put his gun down and scooted me up in his arms. Since he didn't have on a shirt or anything I laid on his bare chest.
"You okay mama?", he asked rubbin my head.
"Im scared Phoenix , what if he finds me? I don't wanna go back to him" , I said as tears rushed my face.
He sighed and wiped my face , I could tell my situation upset him a lot. I just wanted him to be careful trying to help me. I knew how Markus could get ... but what I didn't know was, I was with someone who was capable of a whole lot.
"Look ma , that nigga ain't gettin to you at all. You safe wit' me mama , you got to understand that I'm dangerous. So when you wit' me yo safety against that nigga ain't even a question", he told me. His voice was deep so his chest made my head vibrate.
